As we navigate a time of rising prices and increasingly widespread layoffs in the United States, a reminder that when those who feel disengaged, despondent, and unmotivated do not participate in elections, those who ARE passionate and motivated will drive all decisions.

2. It is bad when Democrats try to help those candidates, no matter what the rationale

@MaxBoot A MUCH simpler move that requires no wholesale Constitutional rewrite (the last provision of Article V is ironclad) is to remove the arbitrary cap of 435 members of the House of Representatives that was set by the Apportionment Act of 1929.

Life on Earth won't be coming to an abrupt end and human beings won't go extinct… although there's likely to be LOTS of migration and the social upheaval that goes with that and lots of lives lost due to any number of related causes.

Gay people very very very VERY obviously won rights by coming out and getting their families and neighbors to come around on gay issues bc they actually knew a gay person. It was like integration on turbo mode. That’s what shifted public opinion.
