@The_HiggsBoson @wesstreeting But “GPs” now includes Trusts, private firms, US Health giants. The real GPs have principles and the country’s trust but the others feed their shareholders from the trough of public finance. GP needs to be returned to public hands first.

@ClaireJHartnell @ClinOncDoc @Jane06723722 Interesting- and exactly the direction where I need my IT support to go. But the dr-patient interface is the best place to generate the data. The machines can help the doctors do fewer, more appropriate interventions. Point them in the right direction.

@doctor_katie At least 10% of my workload- 2 or 3 appts/day extra. Plus all the expedite letters, the complaints coming to us, queries taken by receiption about cancelled hosp appts.

@ianwoodaudio @DrEmmaNash Make GP a choice that medical graduates choose because of the opportunity to deliver timely holistic care to a community for a similar reward and working week to other professional groups. We don’t need to train more Drs we just have to stop them leaving for other countries/jobs

@danielgoyal I'm not sure I agree. You mean people have significant symptoms but they worsen before they even see their GP? Or do you mean that there are post-GP-appointment delays in accessing investigations and specialist care? The latter is not due to access to primary care at all.

The UK public don’t deserve the #NHS. They have voted to destroy it.
Many thousands of #NHS staff like myself have been crying our for years about how the #Tories are dismantling it, but the public have been more interested in supporting right wing policies eg anti-immigration
