@msauc024@abhornUCRedu Hi Maria!
I completely agree with them more opportunities because they are the ones with the lowest percentages! Universities should be attainable for figuring out the common factor that affects these individuals.

What are the universities doing about african American athletes being the center of most academic misconduct scandals? A lot of the factors can be by the university for their lack of support.
@chadbvel1@abhornUCRedu I agree ! The NCAA as well as the universities continue to benefit off these student-athletes, while they continue to struggle financially
@ZacharyUCR2023 Hi Zachary, I have not been up to date with new laws that have been passed allowing student-athletes to transfer, but I hope that is the case because I know that during COVID, they were allowed one "free" transfer without penalty.
The NCAA and other guidelines do not consider student-athletes as employees because they prioritze their education first, so why are they limited to transfer and have to jeapordize their scholarship/contract?

@NMurasmith011@abhornUCRedu Hi Noah! I agree!
I definitely believe that education about concussions and other health issues should be required to student, coaches, and the families in order to build a safer environment.
I'm aware of how many concussions occur in athletics, but it concerns me about how many do not get reported because of the athlete's fear of the consequences.

@aayal100@annaaacha Hi Alexis! I completely agree with your post! It appears to me that Title IX is used as a cover up because people address that equality exists because of Title IX, yet there are so many issues that still need to be addressed. There are a lot of changes that still need to be done
Title X has increased the opportunities for women in different aspects, like in sports. However, there are still a lot of inequalities that women face that need to be addressed #UCR150@abhornUCRedu

Signing NLI's are voluntary, yet they go up each year. This article shows how most student-athletes that sign are uneducated about the NLI because they just want to make it official. The intent is so that schools can keep track of everyone, but I think there's more to that. 1/2
@derek_lpz@abhornUCRedu This is something that I am so curious about? How does the NCAA expect student-athletes to live off when they have assignments/study/practice?
I found it interesting that the NCAA cannot give more money than the cost of attendance. So how do college athletes in poverty survive? Considering they have other expenses. Do all student athletes get full tuition covered if they're more financially stable?#ucr150@abhornUCRedu
@cjime074 I found this very interesting! It is crazy how college athletes do not get the recognition they deserve. I cannot imagine having to have the academic grades as well as putting in the hours for their practices and games. A well structured time management is crucial for them!
If athletes want to quit the sport, do they still have the opt out choice, or would it conclude with them having to withdrawal from the school? #ucr150@abhornUCRedu
