This Public service announcement brought to you by the same team that created the problem by forced mandatory electrification of everything and closed Indian Point.
NYC's electrical grid is under serious strain right now. We are well over 10GW usage and still a couple of hours from the peak. ConEd is reducing voltage is some neighborhoods. Everyone should do what they can to help conserve power.
@spencerpratt This was precisely the NYC plan back in 2017. Jails cost went from $8billion to North of $15b, and can only house a little over half the current jail population. But obviously crime will drop enough to compensate by the time they open...right? What could go wrong.
Dorca is a paid agitator from the Met Council, which is a affiliate of NY Communities for Change (the successor to ACORN, lol), same Board members, same address... all founded by 60's & 70's radical marxists.🤷♂️
Ironically the Dems & DSA 'own' the dark money pool by a big margin, and it's China & Russia plus a bunch of home grown 70's Communists embedded in the nonprofit complex: WFP,
Met Council, Center for Popular Democracy, NY Communities for Change, Tides, Open Society...
“Monsters.” “Dark money.” A hidden hand “turning us against one another.”
Swap “AIPAC” for “Jews” and it’s the oldest antisemitic conspiracy theory in the books. That’s not criticizing a lobby. That’s laundering antisemitism from your podium as Mayor of a city with more than a million Jews. This bullshit is dangerous.
If you want to talk about real monsters let’s start with the North Koreans, Russians, Sudanese, the Iranian regime, and their proxies — Hamas, Hezbollah, PIJ — and other terrorist groups who’ve killed scores of Americans.
@HjgTweet@VickieforNYC I understand the urge, but please resist the sentiment. We the people always get it second. There is no calvary coming to save us, we must be our own calvary. Best solution is block them if at all possible before.
This⬇️⬇️!!! But, the Dems also need to bar them from their primaries.
dSA are NOT Dems. dSA'd literature talks about dismantling ALL the US systems, capitalism, and Dem party included.
The Republican majority of the house should make it clear that they will not seat DSA-affiliated candidates on the grounds that their ideology makes it impossible for them to faithfully uphold the oath of office.
Republicans in competitive house districts nationwide should run on a vow to not seat these lunatics, to protect the country from the predations of the DSA by preserving the GOP majority.
One cannot hold a revolutionary ideology like that of the DSA and simultaneously be faithful to the oath of office. The two are diametrically opposed and fundamentally incompatible.
We need to start taking the oath of office seriously; it’s not just a boilerplate formality — it means something. It means everything, in fact.
Reasserting its legal force can be the key to keeping the DSA and revolutionary groups like them out of high office permanently.
A NY rent freeze is the most Un-Socialist thing ever.
'From each according to their ability to each according to their needs'.
Rent freeze shifts a public need that should be carried by the entirety of society to individual owners, whose single largest expense is...
City taxes
We’re endorsing @claireforny for NY-7.
She rents, like 77% of the people in NY-7 do.
She also wants to #freezetherent and knows what a rent hike actually feels like.

And, even Essex St Market is half it's former size. NYC mismanaged it so bad & so neglected that one of the buildings, an entire square block in size was torn down, (after they paid us to stabilize it, lol) due to it being deemed redundant & too expensive to fully restore.🤷♂️
It's a money pit. My firm was a contactor for several prior re-imagining's of the City owned markets, La Marqueta & Essex St. Millions were poured into them over decades. They failed every time from City mismanagement. Essex st succeeded 3rd time due to hipster gentrification
Mayor Mamdani is ignoring minority grocery store owners in NYC (the multi-cultural coalition) that are trying to save their grocery stores. This is so incredibly heartbreaking. He is literally destroying their businesses.
@JJeffrey100@eccles_lincoln It's theft.
Unfortunately owners of regulated housing in NY (which is 1/2 of ALL rental housing) 100% of property tax can't be passed on to tenants due to RGB increases below the rate of tax assessment increases.
The owners are subsidizing the difference.
@PeterMoskos@shtarkeradagast 🎯 During a City Council hearing on CJ reform a former Criminal Justice System Involved person defiantly rejected the notion that anyone could predict that he or anyone else would reoffend just because they'd been incarcerated several times before. Precisely.😬
