One of the most loved new features we've ever tested internally.
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.

OMG.
🇰🇪 Sabastian Sawe becomes the first man ever to break 2 hours in a marathon (legal conditions) in 1:59:30 at the London Marathon!
Yomif Kejelcha 🇪🇹 runs 1:59:41 in his DEBUT.
Jacob Kiplimo 🇺🇬 takes third in 2:00:28
All under the previous WR.
Crazy how good the loop of: let’s build X, write plan/.md, review plan/.md, iterate + give feedback, execute, put up PR, merge…think of next thing to build is now.
When one person can execute on the whole vision of a product, you get really special products.
What a year!
- left my job to build startup
- ran 1650 miles and pr’d marathon
- traveled more than ever before
- stopped drinking entirely
- moved out of nyc (for now)
- became a top cursor user
Super excited to be carrying this momentum into 2026. Onward and upward
When I created Claude Code as a side project back in September 2024, I had no idea it would grow to be what it is today. It is humbling to see how Claude Code has become a core dev tool for so many engineers, how enthusiastic the community is, and how people are using it for all sorts of things from coding, to devops, to research, to non-technical use cases. This technology is alien and magical, and it makes it so much easier for people to build and create. Increasingly, code is no longer the bottleneck.
A year ago, Claude struggled to generate bash commands without escaping issues. It worked for seconds or minutes at a time. We saw early signs that it may become broadly useful for coding one day.
Fast forward to today. In the last thirty days, I landed 259 PRs -- 497 commits, 40k lines added, 38k lines removed. Every single line was written by Claude Code + Opus 4.5. Claude consistently runs for minutes, hours, and days at a time (using Stop hooks). Software engineering is changing, and we are entering a new period in coding history. And we're still just getting started..
Patrick Collison on the importance of beauty and craftsmanship when building products
“If Stripe is a monstrously successful business, but what we make isn’t beautiful… I’ll be much less happy. The world’s just uglier than it needs to be.”
Patrick believes that the impact of beauty and craftsmanship are higher than people think. And not just for aesthetic reasons — it’s rational for customers to buy beautiful products.
“What does a beautiful thing tell you?” Patrick asks. “It tells you the person who made it really cared."
