@gabethetanker@nolanarchive Because there’s a limited number of IMAX theaters people are quicker to buy tickets there as supply is limited. I’m sure standard screenings will fill up closer to the release date next weekend
@BWilcox45940@TheMagaHulk@NickFreiling@clairlemon I think you’re overestimating how much academy voters care about that (the same people who gave all white Oppenheimer nearly every award three years ago) and you’re overestimating how much awards weigh on Nolan’s choices (he’s already won and wasn’t desperate for an Oscar before)
@ezfbabybaby@kennycovington1@PhiloOfNYC@JamesSurowiecki I think the better comparison is with a defensive player like a linebacker where the play call will dictate his assignment but what that actual assignment is depends on various reads that have to happen almost instantaneously
@barsetshire_@SashoTodorov1 Basketball you only need one year of college so most top guys will go to school for like four months before heading to the NBA which is kind of stupid but the list of 18 year olds ready for the NFL is maybe like three guys ever
@BWilcox45940@TheMagaHulk@NickFreiling@clairlemon It’s ironic using this when you’re actually the one who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. The Odyssey already qualifies under the diversity requirements because its distributor Universal does. No casting decisions were made because of these requirements
