Four players in a battle, in each round you will only get one point if you are able to beat 3 players in a row.
So if you beat 2 players and lost to the 3rd you don't get a point.

Activities on our Connect Village at the Sèmè Kraké Border will start this year. The Sèmè Border is the point of entry into #Nigeria for thousands of citizens from Liberia, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo and Benin Republic on a daily basis. This makes it the busiest border in Africa.

Activities and businesses at the Sèmè Border attracts millions of people who settle down there. This spontaneous occupation creates slums in the communities at both sides (Benin Republic & Nigéria) of the Border.

Chess Connecting the Disconnected is our signature and event that will gather the best out-of-school and vulnerable youth chess players from Nigeria, Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana & Côte d'Ivoire annually.

While those kids already receive support from organisations like @chessinslums in their respective countries, we strongly believe that giving them the opportunity to represent the flag of their country, compete and win awards and trophees for their country will further enhance their self-esteem, boost confidence, expose them to the wider world and multiply opportunities for their socio-economic (re)intégration.

NEW: Neuralink patient who is paralyzed from the shoulders down plays online chess through the @neuralink device in his head.

This is insane.

The patient, Nolan, could be seen scrolling around on his computer by using his brain.

"I love playing chess so this is one of the things that y'all have enabled me to do."

Nolan was previously in a diving accident and became paralyzed.

15 yrs ago today, without asking, my parents handed me an envelope as we crossed an NYC street. It was 5000$ along w/ their blessing. I’m not sure if it was ever paid back, but I hope we have made them proud. We have all been given opportunity along the way. Let’s pay it forward.

Meet Joao. We first met Joao, when he arrived as an asylum seeker & was sleeping on a cot on floor of a basketball stadium in Portland Maine. He is now getting a great education at Baxter Academy, & is working as a chess coach, teaching other asylum seekers the game of chess.
