Maturity, for me, means knowing what to share, choosing friendships wisely, living with gratitude, and doing my best while trusting God with the journey. It also means practising self-control and learning to pause before reacting. These six reminders speak to the person I continue striving to become. 🌿🙏🏾
The Uganda we want will be built through shared purpose, mutual trust and action.
Yesterday, we met with the Local Development Partners Group leads and the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister to strengthen our partnership for Uganda’s transformation. We committed to concluding the Financing Compact and partnership guidelines, providing a clearer foundation for coordinated support, mutual accountability and lasting results.
We deeply appreciate our partners’ continued support. Let us keep moving forward together—with candour, patience and determination—until our shared aspirations translate into a truly productive and prosperous partnership that delivers for the people of Uganda and the wider region.
“The strongest partnerships turn shared hope into shared responsibility—and shared responsibility into lasting progress.”

Proud to see one of our young NPA administrative colleagues stepping beyond the office to pursue his talent in the creative arts. 🎭
He will be featuring in a play that premiers at the National Theatre next Friday, and I warmly encourage friends and well-wishers of NPA to turn up and support him.
Our Gen Z must be encouraged to dream broadly, nurture multiple talents and build careers beyond conventional boundaries. Let us celebrate and support our own as he grows this exciting side career in the creatives. 👏🏾
A productive meeting with Hon. Jonard Asiimwe and the Technical Team at the STI Secretariat. We agreed on strategic initiatives to move innovation from research to production and markets. STI must raise productivity across the economy if Uganda is to achieve sustained double-digit growth under NDP IV.
I regret to announce the tragic death of my friend and father of the Classic Band Music Director and founder of Afrigo Band, Mzee Moses Matovu, who was reportedly attacked by a gang in Kibuli last night while returning from work.
I strongly condemn this senseless act of violence. Uganda’s music industry has lost a true legend whose contribution to our culture and music will remain unforgettable. He was a giant of our music industry, and a talent we may never replace.
I appeal to our joint security agencies to do everything possible, as always, to identify, apprehend and bring to justice those responsible for this heinous act.
My heartfelt condolences go to Mzee Moses Matovu’s family, the entire Afrigo Band fraternity, his friends, colleagues, and all lovers of his music.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Rest well, Mzee Moses Matovu. Your music and legacy will live on.
⛽🇺🇬 Strengthening Uganda’s energy security and building for the future.
I was honoured to join H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and other leaders at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Kampala Storage Terminal (KST) in Mpigi District, a significant milestone in the development of Uganda’s petroleum infrastructure.
With a planned capacity of 320 million litres, KST will serve as a strategic petroleum reserve and distribution hub, strengthening the resilience and reliability of Uganda’s fuel supply. Together with the upgraded Jinja Storage Terminal, Government and UNOC-managed storage capacity will rise to approximately 360 million litres.
Beyond storage, this investment has the potential to support local employment, enterprise participation and a stronger, more integrated petroleum value chain, including its future connection to the refinery in Kabaale.
As Uganda develops its petroleum resources, strengthening the infrastructure around them is equally important. This is about building systems that secure our energy needs today while laying a stronger foundation for Uganda’s industrial future. @MEMD_Uganda@PNyamutoro@UgandaChamber@DrMusenero@irenebateebe@UNOC_UG@PAU_Uganda@KagutaMuseveni #KST

🚨Earlier today @UgandaMediaCent , I joined the media as we build momentum towards the 15th Annual Mineral Wealth Conference & Expo, happening 29th – 30th September 2026 at Speke Resort Munyonyo under the theme, “Beneath the Surface: Unlocking Africa’s Next Mining Powerhouse.”
The conference is an important public-private sector dialogue that shapes the future of Uganda’s mining sector.
“Our partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development is about ensuring that policy aligns with private sector aspirations and effectively bridges the gap between public sector vision to private sector growth
From upstream to midstream and downstream, our focus is on strengthening national participation, investor promotion, promoting predictable policies, and driving local industrialization.
Uganda has mineral wealth. Our task is to build the systems, partnerships and value chains that enable us to maximise its full potential for our economy and our people.” @MEMD_Uganda@humfas@PNyamutoro@Patricia_Litho@DrMusenero@irenebateebe

Green growth is not a choice between the environment and the economy—it requires advancing both. Productive engagements today with NEMA ED Dr Barirega Akankwasah and team
on policy reforms to protect our natural heritage, support local investors and deliver sustainable growth. 🇺🇬
At the National Budget Conference for FY 2027/28 yesterday, the message was clear: Uganda’s next budget must become an even sharper instrument for NDP IV implementation and the Ten-Fold Growth Strategy—strengthening domestic revenue mobilisation, improving expenditure discipline, accelerating productive infrastructure and human capital investments, and ensuring that every shilling delivers measurable development results.
A particular pleasure was reconnecting with Dr. Patricia and exchanging thoughts on development finance—especially how Uganda can further mobilise and structure innovative, sustainable financing to close our development gaps without compromising fiscal resilience.
The challenge before us is no longer simply to finance development, but to finance transformation—strategically, sustainably and at scale. 🇺🇬

A productive engagement with our Production and Trade team at NPA—one of the key anchors for delivering NDP IV. We reflected on how to sharpen implementation, strengthen strategic value chains, expand production and trade, and convert Uganda’s development ambitions into real economic opportunities, jobs and incomes. Planning must ultimately translate into results that citizens can see and feel. 🇺🇬
Deeply saddened by the passing of His Majesty Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, whose remarkable life of service began when he ascended the throne at such a tender age. His passing is a profound loss to the Royal Family, the people of Tooro Kingdom and Uganda as a whole. (Monitor)
My heartfelt prayers are with the Queen Mother, the entire Royal Family and the people of Tooro during this very difficult time. May the Lord comfort and strengthen them, and may He grant His Majesty eternal rest.
May God rest his soul in perfect peace. Omukama Atulize. 🙏🏾🕊️
The Revolutionary Guards congratulate our N.C, @KagutaNzeire, on being awarded PO-100 by Gen. @mkainerugaba.
We thank Gen. MK for this honour, Nzaire’s early mobilisation and consistent work helped shape the journey that led to @PLUsecretariat. This recognition is well deserved.
🚨Driving Regional Industrial Growth Through Energy
It was a privilege to moderate the session on “Power Generation and Distribution for Regional Industrial Growth and Competitiveness: Capacity, Plans and Regional Demands” at the Regional Industrialisation Conference 2026.
As Uganda and the region pursue deeper industrialisation, reliable, affordable and sustainable energy remains at the heart of competitiveness. The conversation brought together critical perspectives on capacity, infrastructure and the energy demands that will power the next phase of regional growth.
