@Ayohugh@helenwarrell@Laura_K_Hughes@WiredUK@TechCrunch@techreview@FT 2. Can only put this down to not researching this upfront. They only seemed to realise when they did they’re own testing after much of the build was already done. Could have contacted phone manufacturers about this beforehand.
@Ayohugh@helenwarrell@Laura_K_Hughes@WiredUK@TechCrunch@techreview@FT 1. This is at the door of the politicians. My perspective is public trust was wildly overestimated. I’ve spoken to many who’ve laughed at the idea of downloading a gov. App with a centralised DB. Other govs probably realised this sooner.
@Ayohugh@helenwarrell@Laura_K_Hughes@WiredUK@TechCrunch@techreview@FT Turns out there was 160 people on the project so works out to around 1K/day on average for each of them which isn’t unusual for software companies to charge.
Why 160 people were needed is the question here. It’s an enormous team.
@jayphelps I would always err on the side of option 2 unless the flexibility was really obviously needed from the start. I find as a rule being stricter from the off generally avoids complexity/inconsistent patterns in the long term.

So there's this game that your computer can play, and the game is set up so that if you run two copies of the game on the same computer, each game becomes twice as hard to win. This is important to prevent cheating: the only 1/

Lots of ❤️ to all the contributors that have helped get this out.
1. Create a fork of Zcash
2. Announce a fork of Bitcoin with zk snarks
3. Announce an airdrop to holders of BOTH your fork and BTC holders at a 1 to 1 ratio (even though BTC unit price is much higher)
4. Watch as the market scrambles to buy your Zcash fork (bc cheaper than BTC)
Why hasn't anyone made a cryptocurrency that creates incentives merely for running a full node? Is it too hard to deal with spam or sybil attacks (i.e. too hard to verify useful participants)? Is it just perceived as unnecessary because enough people run them for free?
