@CarsonB58760111 I agree. I think the idea of virtual reality is intimating for so many. I would love to look into some PD on it! It is definitely something I am interested in exploring. #wuedt6020
Exploring the emerging trend: Virtual Reality. Is this the future of education? Will this replace field trips? Tell me about your experiences if you have any. If you don't, tell me why. #wuedt6020#Week6
@TangyCordrey I have never thought about using virtual reality in my second grade classroom either! I was thinking of when I teach about different landforms or climate regions in science it would be fun to take a virtual field trip to a rainforest or to the arctic! #wuedt6020
@hyperteacher93 I have never heard of Jigspace! I will have to check that app out. I have really never dived into virtual reality before so the whole thing is new to me. Thank you for sharing with me! #wuedt6020
@KellyLWhaley1 That is so challenging! Iβm lucky that I have my students all day and that they all turn on their cameras. I canβt imagine not knowing who was who or not knowing about each of them as an individual.
@KellyLWhaley1 I spend the first 20 minutes of my day supporting social and emotional learning. Students complete a daily check in that asks a question about how they are doing and a fun and totally silly question. We spend time chatting with each other about our responses. #wuedt6020
@ms_maxwell181 My students love Kahoot! Itβs a fun game that gets my students excited and engaged! We love to play it as a review game or just in a day when we need a boost of energy! #wuedt6020
@PleasantonSean This is a hard one! In my 2nd grade classroom, I will expect to use technology more after this. Before the pandemic students would only use technology during center time on occasion (5%). Now I think technology will be integrated within our class more often (30%). #wuedt6020
@Laura55043167 Kami! Kami has been life changing for me. In the beginning of the year we had no idea how we would present material and be able to make annotations so the remote and hybrid kids could both see. Kami was that program! I use it all day every day! #wuedt6020
@EvelynB48974922 Yes! I love sending out positive emails and notes all the time about the students who are doing well! Building a positive rapport with students and families has always been a top priority of mine! #wuedt6020
My best advice for a teacher wanting to begin using technology in the classroom is to pick ONE tool and learn how to use it before trying TEN new technology tools. Master one thing at a time. Don't overwhelm yourself with trying to use every piece of technology. #wuedt6020
@hyperteacher93 One of my favorite brain break tools is GoNoodle! I love that we can dance, do yoga, practice our breathing or exercise! I also love that most activities are 2-4 minutes. Just enough time for a brain break! #wuedt6020
@PoliteTommie@McCoolWILMu So true! Always be prepared to fail at first. You have to keep trying! Just like learning to ride a bike! It gets easier with practice! #wuedt6020
@PleasantonSean@McCoolWILMu Collaborating with colleagues has been a lifesaver when it comes to technology! While many colleagues come to me for technology help, I have had to reach out to others for advice too! Having a good support system is a must! #wuedt6020
@EDTElizabeth I wonder if there is some other app that helps make math equations more visually pleasing online. Iβll keep an eye out for you! #wuedt6020
