An has been missing after #cosyne23. I met An while interviewing for my postdoc lab and have been so inspired by her energy and positivity. Anything you could contribute to help her parents travel to Montreal would mean a lot.
#MontréalFire Day 5 after An's missing
Her parents' Canada Visa was approved yesterday. High living costs in Canada & US + travel will be a big burden on the family’s financial situation. We are raising funds to help cover their travel/living expenses: https://t.co/vsu9NUdHF5
# Chinese scholar # Old Montreal fire
A large fire broke out in a historical building in Old Port District of Montreal, Canada at 5:45 am on Thursday. 6 people remain missing, among which is a promising young Chinese scholar, Dr. An Wu, who came to Montreal for a conference.
Friends, we need your help. An Wu, a postdoc from UCSD is missing post-Cosyne. We're trying to locate her. We're worried she may have been staying at a building that had a bad fire this week. If you have any information about where An was staying or last seen please contact me.
