First post on this account!
I’m Jimmy and I am building @UseTensio (main social is IG).
I have been working on Tensio for a while now, and it’s been an amazing journey, culminating in going live on Kickstarter this week.
This is not a post to ask you to check the Kickstarter out. It’s a post for me - I have not been public on X and I’d like that to change.
I would love to connect with founders, people in tech, etc here on X! I’d love to find and follow interesting people.
Putting this post out as a way to make that change.
The other major piece this test proved is that the model is able to detect non-rep motion (unracks and reracks) and discard them from rep tracking. The heuristic model required a start phase to avoid unrack motion contaminating the tracking. Now you can simply press and lift.
Good day. I took the model out of shadow mode and gave it full control of workout tracking: 100% accuracy tracking 26 sets and 234 reps across 8 different exercises. Plus far more accurate rep tempo tracking than the heuristic algorithm.
And this is in just two weeks of training

Been spending a lot of time collecting data in the gym and labelling it myself.
Just deployed a 128k-param model trained on this data for live workout shadow-testing. First session it went 25/25 - vs 18/25 on the heuristic rep detector I spent months tuning.
Very excited!
@pronounced_kyle@isaiah_p_taylor Thanks for sharing this. Need to do a reread it’s been probably 5 years. Agree with your take that the characters are over the top but that it serves getting her message across well. Was just thinking of this book recently with all the California wealth tax arguments in my feed.
