@nope_its_lily Certainly not an expert, but I wonder how much of a role drugs are playing. Would love to see effects of setting up injection supervision facilities. Could consider penalties for drug use outside of these facilities. Plenty of commercial real estate going unused right now

I see US China foreign policy as either US buying time to get chip fab plants built in US, or aggressive policy re: chip export ban forces China to move on Taiwan sooner, w/ US suspecting a win there means China setback of years & keeps most advanced chips (AI) w/ US companies

(but try to tell that to the thousands of US military members and their families whose lives would be lost in defense of Taiwan). Best option, but nowhere near perfect as it asks for millions to completely uproot their lives, may be offering amnesty to those who want it

@nickmmark Agree with the first two (opioid overdoses, gun deaths) but access to healthcare isn't the primary reason health sucks. American diet is terrible, food quality is bad, meat industry is killing the US.
