@bethannecarr @smtravis Hello, Beth Anne, the proposed adult day care model would be the county providing the unused space with entities like Memorial or Broward Health doing the staffing and Medicaid/PACE, and Florida Dept. of Elder Affairs providing funding. It is not a for profit business model.

@smtravis A partnership with the county providing the space and Memorial or Broward Health systems providing staffing and funding from Medicaid, PACE funding, or Florida Elder Affairs could provide critical respite day care services for dementia patients. It is not a for profit model.

@smtravis Thanks, Travis, I was that speaker. I’m a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association and have been working on an effort to bring Adult Day Care Centers to the eastern half of Broward where they are desperately needed. The repurposing of unused school space for this could help.

@CraigMish This was the worst loss of the season. Sandy pitched a gem and we had multiple chances to score. Everybody is swinging at bad pitches out of the zone (including Arraez who can get away with it). Zero plate discipline. They need a MiggyRo style come to Jesus player meeting.
