6 months ago, I said "The Best UX is no UI" for the first time, and people were confused, misinterpreted it, found it crazy, and even got excited.

So, what does that actually mean?

My parents back in India struggle with their computer. When I moved to the US, they'd call me to help them access emails, fill out forms, and applications on their computer. Even I struggle - I HATE forms, TAXES, and digging through dashboards to find information.

Remember, this comes from a guy who spent 10 years obsessing over building websites and interfaces, most recently at Meta for Billions of people.

IT IS MY JOB TO MAKE INTERFACES SIMPLER.

However, lately I've been spending a lot of time in my terminal (@claude, Codex, @grok) to unleash full POWER of AI.

But that POWER is NOT ACCESSIBLE to most of the world. An average person like my parents doesn't want to live in a black and white terminal.

Screens exist because humans don't trust machines. A giant monitor in your office or a tiny screen on Smart Glasses - the job is the same - keep humans in the loop to establish trust, and for redundancy when things fail. Solving for NO UI is not just a UX problem, it is a reliability problem.

To solve for this, we built Yappy!

Yappy lets you talk to your computer with your VOICE, and your computer just gets things done for you. No more need to click and type on the forms or trying to figure out how to navigate a complicated dashboard. I even used Yappy to file my Taxes!

When you use Yappy, you'll find it is a VERY VERY EASY product to use. That's intentional. Yappy is built for EVERYONE.

1. YAPPY KNOWS YOU: Slapping AI on an existing GUI means your AI is clueless about you. How will it automate your taxes if it doesn't even know your name?

We solved this with Mitosis Cortex, which we released earlier this week.

Once your AI truly knows you, wild things happen. After Cortex learned everything about me, my computer screen time dropped 78%. I didn't plan that. Screens just stopped being necessary.

2. YOUR DATA MUST BE SECURE: Most AI services and frontier labs take your data to train their models or build competing products with your IP. At Mitosis Labs, YOUR DATA IS NOT THE COMMODITY. It stays private, in your control.

This is why Yappy dictation runs fully locally on your computer. Be on a Plane, in a train in a tunnel, or turn off the wifi - it will STILL WORK.
