@eva8504#POPMUSW22 You make a very good point, a lot of things are now way more accessible than they have ever been, but if people really enjoy the sound of a band they would want to go see them because the experience of being there is different than listening to the same music elsewhere
@saradwyer0_0#POPMUSW22 I agree with you! You can watch a live performance on Youtube as many times as you want, but it will never come close to the feeling of being there. Live bands are definitely different now, but the appeal of them is still relevant.
@zoe_polymath#POPMUSW22 This is a very valid point. People will definitely take songs and redo them but change subtle things to make it seem brand new. This is very problematic because most times it will be taken from small artists and end up being overlooked by the people who listen to it.
@ThisModernLuke#POPMUSW22 You bring up a valid point about the covers not being genuine, but I feel like we have come to a point with music where most songs will sound alike based on whatever the current trend is.
@cameron_rees__ #POPMUSW22 Hello Cameron, I feel like your reasoning as to why Ray Charles used a breaking voice is very likely! He does seem to use his voice in a more emotional way when singing his song "I got a woman"
@chrayl4#POPMUSW22 You make a very valid point in your tweet, and it really does make him stand out from other musicians within the same genre. I never thought about it in this way :)
@etiguin This is very true, I still participate in things like this with my friends. It's nice to have something small and convenient that can be used for a group of people. This has made it so playing music in social gatherings is a lot easier and includes all individuals.
@scdrover I agree with you! These days you can listen to music in a variety of different ways, and we can see many old ways coming back like records. I think the appeal of music shouldn't be what you listen to it with, but what you listen to.
@zoe_polymath I agree with your statement, today society and popular music puts a big emphasis on a persons belongings as a form of self worth. Singers are often idolized and this will make individuals want luxury brands more if their favourites promote them.
@Kgclarke2 I agree with your statement as many songs tend to flex wealth or make it seem that having a lot of money is better. Many individuals may believe that they need these things because their favourite artists have them. Have a good day :)
