Ever lie awake at night wondering what structural features of zirconium based MOFs contribute the most to carbon dioxide adsorption?
If so give our latest paper in JPPC a read! @MaJiKatz

@TaylorH73063725 I agree, live performances are something else. There is just so much added performance and ambience wise that is simply not delivered by listening to a CD or recording. The same discussion could be applied to watching sports on TV vs live at the stadium. #POPMUSW22
@MeganBenoit797 I agree, at the end of the day it is very subjective and depends on people’s preferences. I for example don’t really have a preference as they are both different experiences. We all consume music, the difference lies in that we now have more ways of doing so. #POPMUSW22
Because of how accessible music is nowadays, live cover performances now have become the second-rate substitute. Other than the accessibility of streaming services per se, music sampling enable DJs to replicate popular songs on the spot without it become a cover. #POPMUSW22
@JordanBarter12@ThisModernLuke You do have a valid point. However, acknowledgment should be given where it is due. No matter how much you autotune a known original piece of work, the original should still be given merit. #POPMUSW22
@anik_mun@hepquinton Schlock music sounds to me a lot like a “copy-cat” similar to an annoying side kick that attempts to drive all the attention to himself. At the end of the day we should treat it as what it is: intellectual property theft and cultural appropriation !#POPMUSW22
Schlock music is a consequence of consumerism where attractive facades are created to maximize profit. In that sense, it became popular by basically leeching out real talent without any sort of acknowledgement just for the sake of “selling more”. #POPMUSW22
@CFloden02 I agree ! The braking voice technique accentuates pain and allows Ray Charles to share more emotions with his audience. We normally break voices when we’re about to cry so it adds depth to the song. #POPMUSW22
@JennaleeRalph@PardyAbigail That’s right, hearing that the performer truly means and conveys what he feels makes it easier to connect to the music as a spectator. It adds a note of truth and legitimacy to the song that provokes a sentimental response from the audience. #POPMUSW22
I believe Ray Charles used a breaking voice in his songs as a performance tool. I believe it served its purpose in that it allowed spectators to listen to a more realistic performance in which the singer truly “feels the music”. #POPMUSW22
@Zoeycross1 My very first experience with a music player was a cassette recorder I inherited from my dad. I remember I had to turn the cassette after the album played to listen to it again. We have truly come a long way in a relative short period of time ! #POPMUSW22
@JennaleeRalph While the "trying to fit in" environment is clearly reinforced in such services, users can still access a large variety of "less trendy music". Personally, finding new songs that line up with my personal preferences has never been so easy ! #POPMUSW22
The surge of portable speakers changed the way I consumed and shared music with my peers. Back in high school, groups of people would gather around a common speaker and would request songs voluntarily providing a social experience like no other. #POPMUSW22
@LedwellKat@jadenmac8 I agree, there is certainly more to popular music than just the meaning of the lyrics. As any other polemic subject, there are various approaches that need to be considered. I think we can all agree that popular music can be very pleasant to listen to. #POPMUSW22
@CFloden02 Following on your idea, we also tend to gravitate towards trendy new songs purely because they’ve been deemed “good” by a big group of people. Sadly we then listen to trendy music solely because others “approved” it before us and not because of a genuine interest. #POPMUSW22
I believe one of the ‘false needs’ created by the popular music/media industry is the need of mass approval to attain happiness. A direct example could be likes on a post or retweets in this medium. #POPMUSW22
