Re: Case No R 17/2025/918 — Simon Ekpa — Judgment of 15.10.2026 — Objection under Chapter 6, Section 8 and Request for Correction of Terrorist Label

1. Summary of Judgment:
The Court upheld guilty verdict for participation in activities of a terrorist group and public incitement, but mitigated sentence from 6 years to *4 years' imprisonment* under Chapter 6, Section 8, Subsection 1, Paragraph 4 of the Criminal Code, on the basis that offences were committed in circumstances that *closely resembled grounds for exemption such as civil war, state of emergency and state of compulsion.*

The Court found strongest evidence for civil war was *use of assault tanks and combat helicopters by the Nigerian federal government*, and uniform combat equipment of groups led by Ekpa.

2. Error of Law — No Jurisdiction:

Finland has no jurisdiction to apply Finnish domestic terrorism law to a self-determination conflict in southeastern Nigeria.

The Court applied ICTY criteria from the Balkan wars to test intensity, organization and nature of conflict. By its own admission, the criteria are met in part. The Court then denies civil war status because fighting was "relatively infrequent isolated attacks" and no significant civilian displacement.

This test is misapplied. Absence of displacement does not negate existence of non-international armed conflict when heavy weapons are used by a state against a population seeking self-determination under *UN Charter Article 1, ICCPR and ACHPR.*

3. Contradiction:

The Court cannot simultaneously hold:
a) Circumstances closely resemble civil war / state of emergency / compulsion sufficient to mitigate sentence, AND

b) Offences remain terrorist offences under Finnish law.

If civil war-like circumstances exist, *International Humanitarian Law (Common Article 3 of Geneva Conventions) must apply, not Finnish terrorism provisions.*

4. Relief Requested:

a) Remove Simon Ekpa's name from terrorist designation* in Finnish court records and related EU listings

b) Reclassify matter as political self-determination advocacy, not terrorism

c) Apply grounds for exemption from liability under Chapter 6, Section 8 in full, not only for mitigation

d) Certify that 50M Biafran Referendum of Nov 29, 2024 in Lahti / Redeclaration of Biafra - United States of Biafra USB was lawful political expression and Right of the People guaranteed.

5. Reservation:

This objection is without prejudice to further appeal to the Supreme Court of Finland (Korkein oikeus) and to the European Court of Human Rights on freedom of expression and self-determination.

I will continue to deploy the facility of my social media handles to propagate justice for all. If you think it’s just about the Igbo or MAZI NNAMDI KANU, you’re mistaken.

The crushing injustice is slowly catching up with all the ethnicities that lack real access to the lopsided power structure deliberately left behind in Nigeria by the British, which #Aburi sought to remedy.

So, as can be seen in this video, it’s the HAUSA (which fought tooth and nail against ABURI) that is now lamenting the fell consequences of their choice.

The injustice has become a merry-go-round, and it will persist as such until everybody comes back to the table to chart a new course. Otherwise, Nigeria risks unhinging from the middle, sooner than later.

Government Statement on Unauthorized Use of the Prime Minister’s Name and Misrepresentation of Government Authority

The Government of the United States of Biafra issues this statement to address the unauthorized actions referenced in the attached video.

The individuals mentioned in the video, together with any persons acting in concert with them, are hereby formally warned to cease and desist from any such unlawful activities. In particular, it is unlawful to include the name of the Prime Minister, His Excellency Simon Ekpa, in any legal action, lawsuit, petition, or related proceeding without his consent and authorization.

The Government further informs the international community, including our friends and allies, that the aforementioned individuals do not represent the Government of the United States of Biafra in any official, diplomatic, legal, administrative, or representative capacity whatsoever. Any claim to such representation is unauthorized and should be regarded accordingly.

The Government also wishes to clarify that the Biafra Republic Government in Exile transitioned into the United States of Biafra Government following the Declaration of the Restoration of Independence in Lahti, Finland, on November 29, 2024. Consequently, any person, organization, or entity choosing to associate with, support, or act on behalf of the individuals referenced above does so entirely at their own risk.

Furthermore, the Government of the United States of Biafra, including His Excellency Nnamdi Kanu and His Excellency Simon Ekpa, shall bear no responsibility or liability for any actions, representations, commitments, or conduct undertaken by such individuals or their associates.

The Government reserves all rights to pursue appropriate legal and administrative remedies against any person or group found to be falsely representing, impersonating, or acting without authorization on behalf of the United States of Biafra or its officials.

Where is Mari Rantanen? Where is Elina Valtonen? Where is Sanna Selin, who once claimed that Simon Ekpa was hindering bilateral relations between Nigeria and Finland? Where are the Finnish investigators?

Where is Alexander Stubb? Where is Petteri Orpo? Why was a new ambassador dispatched from Finland to Nigeria immediately after H.E. Simon Ekpa was illegally detained, and a fishing expedition against him began?

A man identified as Usman Nuhu, reportedly a “repented” Boko Haram member now serving in the Nigerian police force, an institution the Canadian judiciary has previously described as EVIL, extrajudicially killed a Biafran just a few hours ago.

Usman Nuhu represents a troubling pattern: individuals with ties to terrorism being absorbed into Nigerian "security" structures. This raises serious concerns about accountability and the safety of civilians, particularly in Biafran regions.

This situation echoes earlier reports alleging that Nuhu Ribadu, Nigeria’s current National Security Adviser, has been involved in arming Fulani terrorist groups, further fueling violence against Biafrans and other Christian communities.

Disturbingly, these same actors are said to have supplied so-called intelligence to Finnish authorities, contributing to the detention of H.E. Simon Ekpa, a figure who has been outspoken in opposing these actions.
