@GianfrancoShoIa We could do all of that and still lose him if the calibre of club that comes in for him reflects the level of his performances so far. Every top club in Europe should be looking at him.
@JakeJackmann If he’s worth as much to us as you’re claiming, which I agree with, how does it make sense to lose him for a lower fee in 12 months? He’s not going to mean significantly less to the team or the club next summer than he does now.
@MsiDouglas There simply has to be a significant signing coming in before even considering allowing Tonali to leave. Selling two starters and missing out on the Muñoz deal before bringing anyone in would be horrendous optics.
@GullitGangFC26@MagpieMediaX@CraigHope_DM If he’s priced out of a move to another Premier League team, then he’s definitely priced out of a move to Europe, so he’ll be staying. No Italian club could afford him.
@FleetStSnitch@TC38534491@sportingintel@Anfi3ld1892 Did you not read the Premier League’s official comments on the deal at the time? There’s clear legal separation between the PIF and the Saudi state. Assurance was given that the Saudi government does not have control over Newcastle United 😉
@OfficielKaybaye@Craig_Miller89 You don’t think there’d be a good thousand more season tickets made available if they increase the capacity by 13/15,000? Of course there would be. There’s only 33,000ish now.
@TC38534491@FleetStSnitch@sportingintel@Anfi3ld1892 Are you suggesting Russia and Saudi Arabia are the same? Are both allies of the United Kingdom? Which one spends multiple billions in the UK economy every year? Which one is a historical ally and which is a historical adversary? Think before you speak.
@TC38534491@FleetStSnitch@sportingintel@Anfi3ld1892 Yes I think the rules are in place to protect the clubs with massive revenue, and I’m not mad at City for doing what they needed to do. Do you want to see Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal take turns to win everything year after year?
