@skeptrune Very high probability the person doesn't know they are getting shopped around by the recruiter and the recruiter just saw "engineer" on the resume.
@paularambles Lord knows how many times I've fumbled around for a particular plugin in Claude Code. Was the tip in context to what you were working on? Or was it a suggestion because the plugin is new/updated to Claude Code?
@broadglow He got hauled in front of Congress a few weeks ago because he publicly stated his company was using Chinese open source models, so yes this does actually make sense.
It would be interesting to see what he/his team might bring to the conversation.
@negligible_cap Well, he got hauled in front of Congress a few weeks ago because he publicly stated his company was using Chinese open source models, so yes this does actually make sense.
So now we're witnessing a set-up of:
> Anthropic capturing the enterprise high-end (they can just focus on advancing forward)
> Open Source being a cost effective option (wholly or in part) for a share of use cases
> OpenAI and Microsoft scrapping for the dirty middle
The problem with this messaging for both Microsoft and OpenAI is that they are inviting cost comparisons to open source, and *NOT* that they themselves are cheaper options.
@grnsleeves@Birdyword I once went on a date where the guy got progressively agitated as the hour went on. I had arrived late, and he was already sitting down. At the end, we got up and the top of his head reached my shoulder (he was /not/ 5'10"). I've never been so irritated ever.
I literally just saw VC agents in the wild the other week, it was someone in the South Bay (forgot which VC it was), only noticed because their agent hit my website. I've also seen VCs scoring pitches and decks with agents.
OTOH Headline VC has long had a web crawler, what is old is new again I guess.

This was just published today by them! https://t.co/ZrqMNGTzuO
(I agree with you, btw.)
@ShinkaIoT@DaveShapi@sama You would think they wouldn't have such problems since they have so many ex-Stripe people from the C-suite on down...but, alas...
