Today marks 23 years of #columbia Disaster ! A tragedy that bears a deep scar and a remainder for the Human space flight programs.
India lost her Kalpana chawla ! 💔
While the world lost 7 brave astronauts 🥀

The disaster occurred on 1/02/03,when the space shuttle #Columbia broke apart during re-entry, resulting in the death of all 7 crew members.Damage to the shuttle's wing from a piece of foam during launch resulted in the tragedy !

Budget allocated for Dept of Space (ISRO, other entities) for 2026-27 is ₹13,705cr...
The allocation for 2025-26 was ₹13,416cr...
So, hike is barely ₹289cr

PS: let's remember that Dept of Space uses lesser funds than it is given. It returns money to the Govt coffers

Daylight glow makes it super tricky to shoot the 🌕 through a 🔭, holding your mobile to the eyepc , tackling chromatic aberrations, light floodings, refractions & sun glares all at the same time !

But it's always worth the effort , a treat to the eyes !
