ASCB is proud to announce the 2024 Honorific Awards! Join us in celebrating the outstanding achievements of our members in research, education, and mentoring. Check out the full list of honorees and their contributions to the life sciences here: https://t.co/SZuKy3MrEO
We’re so grateful to everyone who contributed to this project @Yanshen73854711@CancerYale and for valuable feedback from the community. Let us know what you think!
Chk(2) out our most recent work! We’re excited to share our discovery about a new mechanism that controls mitotic PLK1 activity: https://t.co/rPYtZutnfA
Although Chk2 and the DNA damage response pathway canonically antagonize mitotic kinases like PLK1 at the G2/M checkpoint, our data shows that this relationship is inverted in mitosis, highlighting how well-characterized interphase signaling pathways can be rewired in mitosis.

New from my lab: we show that a clinical-stage oncology drug from Eli Lilly is mischaracterized, and its true anti-cancer target is EGFR.
We also show how in vitro drug assays can be misleading - cellular+genetic methods are needed to determine drug MOAs.
Our latest publication is out now! Check out our paper in @embojournal investigating how ORCA facilitates replication initiation in heterochromatin environments. Congrats to @SahuSumon, Babatunde Ekundayo, and @Ashishk1722 on this team effort!

4-year Lab Anniversary! 🎉 Over the past 4 years, we've changed biological paradigms & published some great papers, obtained 5 grants, presented our work on national and international stages, & created unforgettable memories. Proud of our accomplishments! @YaleMBB@CancerYale
“When we identify all the ways a protein works, we can better predict how drugs targeting that protein will affect patients” – Scientists @KabecheLab discover a multi-tasking protein with potential to protect against disease: https://t.co/wGW1FTPtl3
