I told the nurse today that I won’t be taking pills to fix my high blood pressure but will attempt to lower it by eating healthily, not drinking alcohol and doing more exercise.

I said I’d rather deal with the cause not mask the symptoms.

She shook her head and told me that if my high blood pressure turns out to be hereditary, changing my diet and lifestyle will do NOTHING to help and that my blood pressure will remain high unless I take medication.

I was gobsmacked. Honestly, where do they GET these people?
