HRF condemns Rwandaâs new elections law which hands dictator Paul Kagame sweeping control over the composition of electoral colleges for local government elections. It is the latest legal manipulation to tighten Kagameâs control over local government.
Yes @mcuban youâre right that 60% of US adults own stock directly or indirectly but what you omit to mention is that the richest 1% of Americans own nearly 50% of the stock market while the bottom half of Americans own just 1%.
South African govt officials are gleefully tweeting about the anti-migrant violence in Belfast. It's very odd. They seem to think that anti-foreigner violence in one country is proof that SA's own xenophobic violence shouldn't be criticized. Classic "whataboutism."
This week moved fast. @Global_Witness and @hrw both dropped major reports on Rwanda, M23 and eastern DRC conflict coltan and the camps it funds - landing in the same stretch as our own @M28Investigates#MozambiqueExposed stories. A lot has crossed the timeline. Some of you will have caught one thread and missed two.
So I'm going to take the coming days to walk through it properly - the coltan supply chain, the forced-recruitment camps, and how the Mozambique pieces connect to the same architecture of Rwandan military entrepreneurship. Stay with me. The full picture is worth your time. More soon.
She is lying. Brazenly. Israel has forced over a million people (a million!) from their homes, razed entire neighborhoods to the ground, told Christian villagers to not let Shia villagers stay in their villages, and killed multiple first-responders in double tap strikes.
Mou has been a complete failure everywhere he went for almost a decade now, he's washed.
His methods are outdated, he couldn't keep up with modern football.
What makes you think he will succeed at Real Madrid?
Calling every organization and person who exposes the crimes of the Rwandan Defence Forces (RDF) and AFC/M23 âRwandophobicâ is one of the tactics Rwandaâs propagandists, such as @CoulibalyBojana, use to discredit them.
Human Rights Watchâs report is factual. It does not âbackâ the Congolese government; it simply exposes atrocities committed by the RDF and AFC/M23. The report is supported by firsthand accounts of victims.
@CoulibalyBojana has spent decades justifying the massacres, rapes, and torture of Congolese civilians committed by the RDF and Rwandaâs proxies, without ever condemning them.
The fact is that @hrw is not the only organization that has demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that the RDF and AFC/M23 are massacring, raping, and torturing Congolese civilians. Other credible and respected organizations, including @UN, @amnesty, @AlJazeeraWorld, @ReutersAfrica, and @NBCNews, have also documented and exposed atrocities committed by the RDF and AFC/M23 in eastern DR Congo.
