@stephlepp@TheKenWilber@DanielSchmacht1@TheOmniLiberal@danielschmach I would want them to have a discussion about Daniel's epistemic framework in sensemaking and how it applies to certain topics (i.e. health/medicine). I expect strong push-back from Destinys side, but if it stays civil,it would be highly interesting.
@Plinz The hard problem is basically a skill issue: people trap themselves in metaphysical confusion by taking materialist assumptions for granted, even though those assumptions look absurd once you actually inspect them.
@TOEwithCurt The paradigm shattering phenomenon of Near Death Experiences (NDEs), it‘s oddly mystical essence, the weird levels of consistency, their impact on the experiencers psyche, the complete lack of any decent explanatory heuristic and our Collective ignorance in regards to them.
@misraetel Even if insights like these compound to the Nth degree, it will always leave the thing in itself - Conciousness - untouched. And that is self evidently so. Getting why and how this is true is mystical in itself because many high IQ people fail to even grasp this at a basic level
@ZKForTre The fact that this questionable study has been uncritically shared by so many highly regarded people in the field is damning to say the least.
@upRootNutrition I would argue that if more americans ACTUALLY ate like this (despite the obvious shortcommings like putting whole grains/fatty meat/butter at their specific place) health overall would drastically improve.
@AnnaLeptikon I can relate - been strugling with undiagnosable health issues as well, while being a MD at the same time. It sucks. The "Fallhöhe" feels even worse if your life has been pretty awesome before. Despite all that, I simply refuse to doom over it.
