#Meiteipur#Imphal today. Is this #Kukis doing or God's doing???
God created this World for all, but when the #ethnocentric#Meiteis claims #Manipur as only theirs, this is what happens, this is how the Creator & Maker of #Manipur corrects their evil and stupid mindsโผ๏ธ

Kuki Inpi Chandel warns the biased Government of #Manipur to stop their pathetic attempts to destroy a vital bridge that is currently under construction. The bridge is being built with donations received from the Kuki-Zo public of Chandel to connect isolated Kuki-Zo areas of Chandel and Tengnoupal districts with Lamka. The bridge will serve as an essential lifeline for the supply of essential commodities from Lamka to other Kuki-Zo areas. The Constitution of India guarantees the Right to Life, and the bridge is essential to ensure that the Kuki-Zo people do not suffer from starvation. The Constitution of India also guarantees the right to private propertyโa bridge constructed with private money on private land.
If Shameless Biren Singh wants to destroy the bridge, let him ensure safe and free access to the existing roads and bridges for the Kuki-Zo tribals. Let his pathetic Meira Paibis and Arambais stop killing innocent Kuki-Zo civilians on the existing roads and bridges, and we will immediately stop the construction of our bridge. If Shameless Biren Singh wants to have any say on whether the bridge is safe or not, he can officially sanction the construction of the bridge with funds from the Manipur Government, and we will allow his regulators to inspect the bridge.

The Reports given by "The Irrawady" and "The Wire Staff" on May 20 & 23 respectively states, atleast 1,000 Civilians from Tonzang Town have fled into Mizoram for fear of the incessant aerial bombings by #Myanmar Military Juntas.
Ethnic Rebel Forces fighting for the Tribal people continues to engage in fierce fights with the Junta Military, capturing two Towns close to the India border since May 19. In his disclosure to 'The Irrawady', Salai Htet Ni, the Spokesperson of the Chin National Army, on May 20 disclosed that after 4 long days of continuous fighting the Military, his Forces have finally captured Cikha and Tonzang Towns in Tedim District located near the India border. The Spokesperson also said, while all of Cikha Town including its Police Station and a Hilltop Outpost was captured on May 19, the entire Tonzang is yet to be cleared of Junta Forces as their Aircrafts keeps coming and bombarding.
The Town Tonzang is a home to around 1000 households with about 8000 population, holding the second most populous town in Tedim District of Chin State. Sources quote that Tonzang was originally founded by Captain (Rtd) Vincent Nengzasuan Haokip Kuki. Once a hustling Town with peace loving ethnic Tribals inhabiting it, Tonzang today looks deserted.
A report claims that residents of 15 Villages, including the Villages of Tuitum, Nazang, Phaitu, near the highway that connects Tonzang and Cikha, have fled into the forests. Residents of Cikha and Tonzang also said that some of the Junta Troops who retreated from Cikha have joined forces with those in Tonzang to counterattack, and they have been conducting airstrikes since the attack began on May 17, resulting in the destruction of many homes and Churches.
A resident of Tonzang disclose that about 70% of the 8000 Villagers have fled the Town, whereas the remaining residents are believed to be trapped by aerial bombardment and the fighting on the ground. A Report on May 22 also states, the aerial bombings carried out by the Military Junta is making difficult for charity workers to provide basic necessities to thousands of civilians fleeing bullets and bombs.
It is worth mentioning here that the Town Tonzang is largely inhabited by an ethnic Tribals who are kindred Tribes of the Kukis and the Mizos. It is important to understand here that the familial tie shared by these Tribals is inseparable, sharing a common origin. This claim of common origin validates the authenticity of the close affinity and inseparable blood relationship of the Chin-Kuki ethnic stock who settled in India, Myanmar & Bangladesh.
One needs to understand the crisis here, that it was only with the Colonial practices the inclusive nomenclature of Chin-Kuki-Mizo people found themselves divided in three Countries and different States, which further impact in the emergence of their different identities along their political boundaries that they were drawn in. Several historical records by the British maintains that more often than not, people simply identified themselves by their clan, sub-tribe, or the language they speak, though it would often be mutually unintelligible but closely related.
Standing upon our enduring slogan of "๐จ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฏ๐ ๐๐น๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ", the Chin-Kuki-Mizo community appeals for global condemnation on #MyanmarAtrocities committed by its Military Juntas against the ethnic Tribals living in the border Towns between India & Myanmar. The recent aerial bombarding of Tonzang Town since May 17 is a blatant disregard of International Law, so we call for the International Community such as the #UN and its Associates to intervene in the plight of the Tribals in the Indo-Myanmar border areas so as to justify their #HumanRights and flow in assistance.

Separated from the Meitei, the Kuki-Zo used their own funds to construct a bridge, opposed by the Meitei govt. Today, an attempt by GoM to destroy the construction led to a standoff between the communities

In #Manipur, every road to Kuki-Zo districts passes through Meitei-controlled areas. Post-May 3, 2023, this has become a severe problem. Meiteis block all roads supplying essential goods, preventing any Kuki from delivering food and medicine from Lamka to Chandel or Tengnoupal. If Meitei insurgents attack Kuki-Zo villages in Chandel, reinforcements from Lamka can't reach them due to the lack of direct roads. To counter this, Kuki Chiefs of Chandel and Kuki Inpi decided to build a bridge connecting Lamka and Chandel directly. This move, funded by the people's donations, marks the first time a tribal group in Independent India has showcased such engineering prowess.
Despite shameless Biren Singh's attempts to starve and choke the Kuki-Zo tribals by cutting off development aid, they persevered and built the People's Bridge. Today, Singh tried to send police convoys to destroy this symbol of resilience. Let him try again and again; he has no authority over Kuki land. We built this bridge with our money, our knowledge, on our land. If necessary, we'll construct bridges to the moon to ensure our survival and the future of our next generation. #ManipurViolence

Chandel,Manipur๐
The Kuki community in Chandel which is the ancestral land of the Kuki is building a crucial bridge to connect Kuki areas of Chandel and Lamka,Songpi for humanitarian aid and supply of essential services, as no alternative roads are available. However, the Meitei state government, under Biren, is trying to disrupt the construction, undermining the Kuki community's efforts and sentiments.
Kuki mothers bravely stopped state the State police commandos from disrupting our bridge construction, preventing a potential clash with Kuki village volunteers and state police.
The Irony is Biren deliberately sent only Naga and Pangal police, aiming to incite further conflict.
Despite Biren Singh's attempts to sabotage our efforts, we built the People's Bridge with our resources on our land. Singh has no authority here. We'll build whatever it takes to ensure our survival and the future of our generations
It's been a year since the mayhem against the Kukis began, and the Biren govt's oppression continues.

Following the alleged ethnic cleansing sponsored by the State Government, state-of-the-art facilities such as hospitals, the state university, schools, government offices including the AG office, the Secretariat, the High Court, and CGHS, as well as industrial institutes like ITI and Sainik Schools, have become inaccessible since they are all located in the state capital.
With most of the connecting bridges and roads for tribal Kuki areas disrupted or passing through the Valley areas, the Kuki community felt the need to construct a bridge linking Lamka to Chandel &/ Tengnoupal districts as a temporary measure.
In response, the Kuki's CSOs have taken a bold step by pooling funds from various CSOs, as no government funds are being allotted for the development of their areas.
The irony lies in the fact that the Meitei government is trying to halt development projects, such as the construction of these bridge. It is a purely Meitei-centric government.
Dear #Meitei, know this: Heaven won't fall by constructing bridges, nor will it disadvantage you in any way. Instead, it will promote better road links between different communities. This inclusive development is essential for the overall progress of the state. It's time to put aside narrow interests and work towards a future where all communities can thrive together. This resistance to development is shameful and counterproductive.
