Dreams have the power to change lives but only when they are matched with opportunity.

That belief gave birth to DreamRise Fest 2026, a national initiative of the Lola Cater
Foundation that brought together children and young people from across Nigeria to learn,
innovate, create, lead, and dream beyond limitations.

Throughout the month of May, classrooms became innovation hubs, young entrepreneurs
pitched business ideas, aspiring leaders engaged with democratic institutions, creators
celebrated Nigeria's rich cultural heritage, and future scientists explored the limitless possibilities of technology and STEM.

What made DreamRise Fest special was not simply the activities we organized, it was the
confidence we witnessed. Children who once doubted themselves began speaking with
conviction. Young innovators showcased solutions to real-world challenges. Future
entrepreneurs discovered that their ideas could become businesses.

Young leaders realised
they already have the power to shape their communities.

DreamRise Fest is building more than events, it is building a generation of leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, creators, and changemakers who are ready to shape Nigeria's future.

We invite governments, schools, development partners, private sector organisations, volunteers, and communities to join us as we expand this movement and create even greater opportunities for the next generation.

A New Chapter for Literacy at Lola Cater Academy!

We are excited to announce that Lola Cater Academy, an initiative of Lola Cater Foundation, has been selected as a partner for the implementation of the Sun Books Literacy Project in Nigeria.

The Sun Books Literacy Initiative, a programme of the World Literacy Foundation (WLF), @WorldLiteracy is being implemented under the Direct Aid Program (DAP) of the Australian High Commission's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). The initiative is designed to improve literacy outcomes among underserved, displaced, and marginalized children by providing innovative digital literacy resources, teacher capacity building, and community engagement.

As part of this collaboration:
📖 Our 6 teachers have been selected to participate in specialized literacy training.

💻 They will be equipped with practical, child-centred teaching approaches and modern digital literacy tools to strengthen learning outcomes for our pupils.

👧🏽👦🏽 Our children will benefit from improved literacy support, interactive educational resources, and a richer learning experience that nurtures a lifelong love for reading.

This partnership is another important step in our commitment to ensuring that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to quality education and the opportunity to thrive.

We are grateful to the World Literacy Foundation, the Australian High Commission, and everyone involved in making this opportunity possible.
