I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Akron, Ohio this past Monday to witness the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse.
Here is a mosaic of images I took of the eclipse along with a 6second movie of the last minute of the eclipse sped up 10x.
Congrats to @JHUAPL on confirming we successfully moved an asteroid! The historic DART mission proved humanity could stop a threatening asteroid if needed — and shows what’s possible when we come together and do big things.

Mission success! ❇️
Analysis of data obtained by @NASA’s #DARTMission team shows the kinetic impact with the asteroid moonlet Dimorphos has successfully altered the asteroid’s orbit by 32 minutes. https://t.co/rnonjvYhKg

When you find a bug in your code for which you had left a comment a mere 3 lines below WARNING your future self about it…. It’s time to call it a night 🥹
Pulled all the high quality video from @nasa DART’s website to make this stabilized timelapse of the mission. Pretty incredible they pulled this off, and we’re able to get these images uploaded despite bandwidth limitations before the spacecraft met its doom. RIP #DARTMission

Mission control at #JHUAPL announced #DARTMission successfully impacted its asteroid target on Monday, 26 Sep 2022 at 7:14 p.m. EDT. This is @NASA's first attempt to move an asteroid in space.

In just a few hours, the #DARTMission will make history by becoming the world's first planetary defense test. ☄️ 🔭 All that's left on our checklist is the final step: to smash into it.

24-hours from now we impact.
Very proud of the @JHUAPL-led team who created and is operating humanity’s first planetary defense test mission.
The vision, dedication and daring of this team reminds me just how far our nation’s space program has advanced.
Go @NASA DART!
Tomorrow will be a smash. ☄️💥🛰
In exactly 24 hours, DART will become first-ever space mission to demonstrate asteroid deflection by kinetic impactor.

I can tell you for a fact… all I’m doing is… NOT EVEN PAYING ATTENTION to how close we are. Keep telling myself “It’s just another day at the office… “
Live: Join senior leaders from NASA and @JHUAPL working on the #DARTMission, the world's first test of planetary defense. Preview mission milestones between now and impact with a non-threatening asteroid on Sept. 26. https://t.co/Icq23Hb49a
Since everyone loved my last Saturn shot so much, I thought I'd take another crack at it. This is my sharpest image so far of the ringed planet. Featuring 5 moons and a photobombing star, this composite image was created from over 80,000 photos captured through my telescope.
👀 Sneak a peek at the deepest & sharpest infrared image of the early universe ever taken — all in a day’s work for the Webb telescope. (Literally, capturing it took less than a day!) This is Webb’s first image released as we begin to #UnfoldTheUniverse: https://t.co/tlougFWg8B
For my Complex Systems class last semester I decided to model the Three Body Problem through the GW Orionis 3-star system. Hope you enjoy the dance between these 3 stars, ending with the ejection of 1 of them after a chaotic encounter. (All # have been non-dimensionalized)
