Ledger used a laser to attack a Tangem chip in a lab. Zero funds lost, requires expensive equipment and physical access. Meanwhile Ledger themselves leaked 1M+ customer home addresses through a regular database breach, leading to real extortion threats sent to customers’ houses. Also admitted firmware can extract your seed phrase on government request. But yes — the laser thing is very cool.
