@bryan_johnson It's been Din't Die Today every day throughout human history. Few are those that wake up in the morning stretching and thinking what a great day to die...
@RepGregMurphy There's no art to diagnosing patients. Do the exams and tests, if you have the experience and knowledge, you'll connect the dots. Some physicians lack both and it's where AI will fill that gap and speed up diagnosis. You don't know it all... Leave your ego at home...
@blekhman You are missing the promise of billions more in funding following this "advance"...We all do :( Now go back to that grant you were writing. It won't write itself...Or can it!?
@rohanpaul_ai Their discovery needs experimental validation (more thorough than theirs did) and peer review. Also, it's not a wet lab if you use mainly bioinformatics. We'll see how it pans out.
@dfrsrchtwts If confirmatory experiments support it (and a medical application is in sight), it can get you published in a top-tier journal and open career prospects. Depends on the importance of the discovery. Famous Prize? For this alone? Not at all likely.
@dfrsrchtwts It's important, without being a big deal. We do this kind of database mining without AI. It's a nice demonstration and a step forward (in the right direction?), but we still have a long way to go before we can cure cancer or "solve" aging with AI...if we ever get there.
