Birmingham City Council have admitted via a written question from Councillor Adam Higgs that if phase 2 of Kings Heath and Moseley Low Traffic Neighbourhood is cancelled it will free up a minimum of £1.9million to be spent elsewhere in Birmingham. The written question is posted in the responses below.
The Council said in its response that this £1.9million “could be reallocated to another transport project. No consultation with WMCA or DfT would be required for this.”
This money should not be wasted in Kings Heath. Birmingham residents have more important things that this money can be used for.
When you look at the standard of Cllrs at @BhamCityCouncil, you can see why it became bankrupt. @BrumLabour Group are full of inept Cllr’s. We need more cross party work to utilise the intelligence and know how of Cllr’s like @bobby_alden, @MorriamJan in the opposition parties.
