@NHGRI_Director @NIH Starting a family was incredibly challenging given the NIH minimum salary. My husband and I were both trainees at the same time and I had to be the one to sacrifice the PI route to be able to afford daycare. You shouldn’t have to make that sacrifice as a female with a PhD.
