So cool to find out that the very first @UMichCMB grad student was an international woman of color! ✨ It was great to hear from Meena Rao today during @UMichCMB’s 50th anniversary!🎉👏🏼
A fantastic event, celebrating the 50th anniversary of @UmichCMB over the last 3 days! Remarks from previous CMB Directors, science talks, a vibrant poster session from students & alumni, career sessions, DEI and social events...& an outstanding keynote from @ErikaHolzbaur
Congratulations to the fantastic Dr. Lott. The eighth PhD graduate from the lab. Great thesis and defense, Josh! So proud of you! @UMPharmacology @eddy_lot
Congratulations to Dr.@JoshLott_ (@MPuthenveedu ) who just successfully defended his dissertation, "Delineating the Specificity of Cannabinoid Effects by Investigating Cannabinoid Receptor-1 Trafficking and Signaling." Josh's Committee: @sbarolo@Jutkiewicz_Lab@AlanSmrcka
Excited that the always fantastic Great Lakes GPCR Retreat is back on. Very happy to be invited to speak. Looking forward to the fascinating science, to seeing old friends, and to making new ones!
Registrations are now open for the Great Lakes GPCR retreat which will be held from May 12-14 in Niagara on the lake, with an exciting scientific program. Please pass along the word. @DrGPCR

@joshlott_ followed up carefully on a chance observation and showed that WIN rapidly disrupts the Golgi in multiple cell types, independent of CB1 receptors. This could change surface levels of many proteins and contribute to the wide-ranging effects of WIN. Stay tuned! 3/3
Lovely mid-week news! Our paper showing that the synthetic cannabinoid WIN disrupts the Golgi apparatus is out @MolPharmJournal . Congrats to my student & first author @joshlott_ and our collaborator @Jutkiewicz_Lab@UMPharmacology@ASPET 1/

WIN has been used for decades as a tool to study CB1 cannabinoid receptor function. But it also shows some unique effects, e.g, anti-inflammatory & anticancer effects that have been difficult to explain. 2/
And overdue "official Twitter congrats" to my fantastic student @ChronisIan for his F31, awarded earlier this year, for understanding the regulation of adrenergic signaling in the heart.
@nih_nhlbi
Very proud of my awesome student @joshlott_ for being awarded an F31. Exciting work on how cannabinoids can regulate receptor trafficking and signaling from multiple compartments. Stay tuned!!
@NIDAnews
Congrats to PhD student Josh Lott (@joshlott_ ) in the @MPuthenveedu lab. Josh's F31 proposal, "Feedback regulation of cannabinoid receptor trafficking and signaling," has been funded.
Congratulations to Stephanie Crilly (now Dr. Crilly), my @UMichCMB student, for successfully defending her thesis. Outstanding work, very proud moments, and fun (and safe) celebrations after!

Excited to move ahead with the 2021 @UMichCMB retreat. The intent was to make it safe and inclusive. Took some hard work from staff and the awesome planning committee, but well worth it!
Congratulations to Dr. Lori Isom on her election to the National Academy of Medicine (@theNAMedicine), one of the highest honors in medicine and science. #NAMmtg
