@UrbanExplorer00 Most are owned by the local governments, not corporations. Keep your tiny stadiums. Seeing a game with 70,000 electrified souls is something you don’t deserve to experience.
@RoPoCZ@EMAWArchive I think if you watch a World Cup match with 70K people you will understand the difference. It is electric.
That said, regular season games won’t draw that crowd, so it is better to have a smaller stadium that sells out and everyone is close to the field.
Both great.
@PattyWhacked@RainsJ7 “Historic” buildings? Are you kidding? There were only a few facades worth saving and they could have easily been integrated into the plan.
The are is being bulldozed anyway as new developments move in anyway. That area was not great and we all know it.
@RainsJ7 All KC had to do was negotiate a bit more. An improved Arrowhead plan would have worked. They wanted to build housing and an entertainment district.
Jackson County leaders just aren’t very creative. Finally the Royals got a decent outcome.
@dorked_web@muy_basado@SlopHq He is right. Nobody uses public transit because Democrats turned stations into homeless shelters. They let crazy people run wild. They force normal people to rely on cars, especially women.
@Antazio_@muy_basado@SlopHq Homelessness is not for lack of housing and never has been. We have plenty of shelters in the US. It is due to drugs and mental illness.
@SlopHq We can’t have that in the US because Democrats refuse to police public transit properly, so it doesn’t get the ridership. Democrats have destroyed public transit with their lax judges and prosecutors.
