Commissioned the rehabilitated Konza Worldwide Church Borehole in Kalama Ward. With an estimated yield of 3.8 cubic metres per hour, the borehole is expected to serve over 1,800 residents of Kyanzasu and Konza sub-locations, providing a sustainable source of water for households, institutions, places of worship, schools, and businesses within the area.

The project will enhance access to clean, safe, and reliable water, improve sanitation and hygiene standards, lower the prevalence of water-borne diseases, support livelihoods and economic activities, strengthen resilience to drought and climate-related water shortages, and ease the burden on residents who previously had to travel long distances in search of water.

I call upon the National Government, through the Ministry of Education, to increase capitation to schools and ensure that funds are disbursed on time so that learning institutions can operate smoothly.

My administration has also increased the allocation of bursaries from KSh 120 million to KSh 160 million to ensure that more learners from vulnerable families can continue their studies without interruption.

Today, we laid to rest my dear auntie Christine Nyiva Ndeti who lived a blessed 102 years. We thank God and celebrate her long life and the remarkable legacy she leaves behind. Mwaitu has left a lasting mark of love, wisdom, and inspiration that will never be forgotten.
