So glad to receive our copies of Early Childhood Education and School Readiness in India.
The book is an extension to the 5 years longitudinal, India Early Childhood Education Study (2011-2015) conducted by @asercentre and CECED, AUD. Thank you @springerpub!
@purnispeaks Quirkos is good if you want to work only with text. It doesn’t allow you to use photos or audios. I recently tried LiGRE software. It is free and quite user friendly but only the web version is available to use. There are some reasonably priced paid versions for this as well.

“ASER 2022 provides a nationally representative data to evaluate the enrolment and dropouts in government schools in rural India post the pandemic”- Wilima Wadhwa, director @asercentre at the launch of ASER 2022 event!
Excited to know the trends!!
@rambletastic@ERC_Research Congratulations! This looks both interesting and challenging. Working together requires a move away from confrontational accountability, which is currently more relied on to increase state’s responsiveness to citizens.
Would love to learn more about the project plan.
@AkshayMangla Congratulations! Looking forward to this! Your dissertation on informal bureaucratic norms in India has been such a delightful read as well!
It’s out now!
A push towards #TaRL calls for an understanding of how much teachers know about the children they teach. The study analysed data from 1800 primary school teachers across 848 government schools in rural Sitapur, India.

A very interesting blog showing how increased opportunities of interactions between teachers and parents have the potential to promote discussions around children’s foundational learning in rural India.
