I used to be against the five-paragraph essay.

It felt like it limited creativity and didn’t seem useful in real life.

But after seeing how few people can actually write one well, I’ve changed my mind.

The skills behind the five-paragraph essay carry over to real life more than we admit.

Here’s what it teaches you:
-How to follow a logical line of reasoning
-How to present and think about evidence
-How to clearly elaborate on your ideas

And the truth is, most people struggle to do these things well in writing.

The five-paragraph essay, dare I say it, might be one of the most powerful thinking tools we have.

This high school teacher in Alabama is describing a dynamic that’s already in plain view.

Wealthy kids are prohibited from playing with tablets and don’t get smartphones until 15-16. Low-income households, on the other hand rely on these devices as babysitting aids.

The result is apparent by kindergarten. Teacher after teacher has told me, “We can tell which kids have their own iPads from how distracted and anxious they are.”

One of my side projects this week has been incorporating @openclaw as a tool for students at @AlphaSchoolATX.

Every single Alpha high school student can have one now, AI tokens covered by Alpha and the agent's config tweaked to help with their big Alpha X projects.

I'm also building custom Claws for the lower schools.

E.g. the 6-7 year olds in Scottsdale are working with Sparky, an OpenClaw custom tailored to help them dream up an invention and eventually bring it to life through images and even 3D printing.

No other school like it.

I guess forwarding critical messages between them or writing to specific markdown files

That’s the only hiccup I’ve had. Just gotta remember context stays in each thread by default

Peter Steinberger is joining OpenAI to drive the next generation of personal agents. He is a genius with a lot of amazing ideas about the future of very smart agents interacting with each other to do very useful things for people. We expect this will quickly become core to our product offerings.

OpenClaw will live in a foundation as an open source project that OpenAI will continue to support. The future is going to be extremely multi-agent and it's important to us to support open source as part of that.
