This week my son had the last of his first year vaccinations. Taking a minute to appreciate his new superpowers against:
Diphtheria
Tetnus
Pertussis
Polio
Meningococcal B & C
Rotavirus
Haemophilus influenzae b
Pneumococcal
Hep A
Hep B
Measles

They said we wouldn’t get anywhere. They put out graphs they knew were lies in order to confuse local people.
They lied about me to mislead people.
But in just 4 weeks we achieved the same vote as a political party that has been around for over 100 years.
I’m so angry that the Labour Party has done this to Chingford & Woodford Green. They have returned Iain Duncan Smith to Westminster and should be ashamed.
Labour’s candidate will now go back to Brent, while we have to deal with the consequences.
You have given me so much support. I can’t express how grateful I am. We will fight on.
I am so proud to be elected as MP for Northfield. Thank you to everyone who voted.
I work hard every day to deliver the service that our communities need and deserve.
I've got mixed feelings about tomorrow's election but I am happy to see @larry_turner running. I went to school and university with Laurence. I was always impressed by his integrity. He is kind and intelligent. It would be wonderful to have someone like him in parliament.
@MSF Activism does not come from a bottle. It is fostered in trust independence and partnerships with civil society and those who live with the disease. The closure of #AccessCampaign is a wound in the heart of global south movements @dnpplus@affordabledrugs@HealthJusticeIn
If you don't work directly in access to medicines (even if you're a humanitarian), it is easy to underestimate @MSF_access. But i for one am deeply influenced by AC vaccine experts on a daily basis. No one else does what they do. This is bleak https://t.co/6WcoeKyAPt @statnews
@ellenthoen@MSF@MSF_access What a disastrous decision. @MSF_access has been a cornerstone for the whole Global Access Movement not just for @MSF . We will all suffer the lack of the Access campaign.
Above all it is critical for enabling access for poor people. Please @MSF revise your decision.
Please don’t undermine my credentials @Keir_Starmer
I came from a family with a violent father and spent part of my childhood on benefits. I’m now a visiting professor and teach at LSE. Public services really helped me, and I had to work so hard to get to this point in my life.
Several years ago @natalieben agreed to a quick meet at kings x. I thought it would be hurried but she really listened & asked incredibly informed qs about vaccines. Was inspiring to see that combination of breadth of understanding & empathy again tonight @FiveLeavesBooks
This report from @Rekenkamer on vaccine procurement contracts is a much needed exercise in transparency & accountability. The recommendation to support int'l initiatives to facilitate access to vaccines, not limited to crises, is particularly important: https://t.co/eNnqeTWuZj
I thought #Nye would be a clarion call for saving the NHS & in many ways it is but it's also a reminder that in spite of it all, change can actually happen over night if people want it to. It has been done before. For friends in health justice who need a dose of motivation:
The wait is finally over, #Nye is in cinemas tonight 🍿
@michaelsheen plays #NyeBevan in this epic new Welsh fantasia. It will be broadcast live from the Olivier Stage with @NTLive as their 100th title.

I remember campaigning for fairer Pneumonia Vax prices & being told by a pharma exec that I should "trust" that development cost much more than we thought. No data was ever shared. I applaud @MSF@MSF_access for continuing to challenge this narrative https://t.co/BmhsdjGQZq
May the souls of our departed @UNRWA colleagues rest in peace, and may we draw strength from their example as we continue our vital work in the pursuit of a better world.
Below is my full speech, as we gathered at @WHO to honour our colleagues, who lost their lives, with a minute of silence:
Dear colleagues,
Today, we gather with heavy hearts to remember and honor our dear UN colleagues who tragically lost their lives in #Gaza. Their unwavering commitment, sacrifice, and bravery will forever be etched in our memories.
These dedicated individuals embodied the spirit of the United Nations, standing on the frontlines of conflict zones to provide much-needed humanitarian assistance and support. They put their lives on the line to bring hope and relief to those affected by violence and despair.
Their memory and the impact they made will forever remain. Their unwavering dedication to peace, justice, and the well-being of others serves as a guiding light and a reminder of the importance of our shared mission.
In the face of immense challenges and danger, they remained steadfast in their commitment to make a difference in the lives of those they served. Their courage and selflessness touched the lives of countless individuals and communities.
Today, we honor their memory and recommit ourselves to the pursuit of peace, justice, and the well-being of all people. We extend our deepest condolences and support to the families and loved ones left behind. Their loss is immeasurable, and we stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time.
As we reflect on the lives of our fallen colleagues, let us also recognize the importance of unity and collaboration. Together, we can continue their important work and strive for a world where conflicts are resolved peacefully, where the rights of all individuals are respected, and where humanitarian aid reaches those in need without impediment.
May the souls of our departed UN colleagues rest in peace, and may we draw strength from their example as we continue our vital work in the pursuit of a better world.
May the path to lasting peace be paved for Palestinians and Israelis.
May the wounds of the past be healed, and may Palestinians and Israelis find true peace, reconciliation, and coexistence, fostering a future of mutual respect, prosperity, and harmony.
I now ask you to join me in a minute’s silence in honor of their memory and sacrifice, and for peace.
Thank you @KholoodKhair for saying this "I have to stress the evacuation here is not the story, the increasingly terrible humanitarian situation is," https://t.co/BsPHH3Xa0Q
This is a devastating account of the death of Ali and the environment he grew up in “a textbook example of a modern sacrifice zone, where profit is put above human life and the environment” @bp_plc@Jeky_Kelly https://t.co/01tjFE93nF
To every “activist lawyer” who worked tirelessly to stop yesterday’s flight from taking off to Rwanda, you and a plus one are invited to a free dinner at our restaurant. Thank you
Here's what happens when you allow the market to dictate where vaccines go:
74% vaccination rates in rich countries
12% vaccination rates in poor countries
