@JosephUmmel@USAOWTC No kidding Joe, primary literature today is rough to comprehend if you don’t know the background info going in. Darwin wrote this for the understanding of the masses even though many didn’t except it.
@JillNichWT3@USAOWTC Really reminds me of how ancient Asian cultures believed in balance. You can’t have something that is good without something that is also bad.
@bonds_karlie@USAOWTC And it didn’t really stop effecting art after that, that was just when it really started. Thing even now anime art is invasively effecting a lot of cartoons and movies.
@HorkFromOrk@USAOWTC Yeah I had no idea about the story in a story in a story structure that it has going on for it before reading. Expected something a bit less elegant.
@PendarvisTo Yeah I mean I agree it isn’t really my cup of tea, but I think listening to what people have to say is important even when you disagree. Hot take
@JosephUmmel@USAOWTC I think he makes a good point though. If you want something bad enough, you’ll do whatever it takes to get it, otherwise you must not have wanted it that bad.
@DestineyisHere7@USAOWTC Really makes you wish you could get in their heads for a day and really understand how they perceived and thought of things relative to now.
@AllieMo92634146@USAOWTC I also had never heard heard of her, but it is quite amazing that it took that long to introduce a solo pianist concert. But Im not complaining, it does make a big difference in some pieces.
@CNeighbors8@USAOWTC In a lot of today’s music I would argue that catchy and good are two different things, but Mozart managed to combine them in a lot of his composing. Quite astounding talent really.
@Hugo51327417@USAOWTC It’s funny to think about how different people see things now than they did then and how long it took to change those ideas over generations.
@JosephUmmel@USAOWTC Comedic break is always nice to run into when it’s unexpected. I don’t think he thinks he thought it first though. I think he thinks his thoughts are just more heard than others. 🤦🏻That is a sample of failed comedic break.
@DeniseKimball20@USAOWTC I don’t think it’s just Milton she doesn’t like but I agree. She makes her points so intuitively to that I can’t imagine someone reading that and thinking she is wrong.
@EmilioUzcategu5@USAOWTC What I find so interesting was that there were slightly different variations of the Baroque across Europe in the first place, each place adding there own little twist.
