Mr Lenminsang
Allegedly killed in Songkong, Henglep by COBRA Team. Reports say he was stripped, forced into a uniform, then killed. Is this how Central Forces treat Kuki civilians?
The Kuki community seeks peace, not persecution.

Manipur: Why are combing ops focused on villages like Leilon, which have themselves suffered attacks from NSCN-IM and the Kamson faction, while militant strongholds like Konsakhul remain untouched? Selective action only deepens mistrust and undermines peace efforts @HMOIndia
📍Henglep, Manipur: Shame on you irresponsible officer @gpsinghips. After you gave a blunt order, some promotion hungry jawans of @crpfindia killed unarmed civilian Lenminsang & then hid his body to cover up. His clothes seen with full proof. Stop fake encounters. Disgusting 🤮
Manipur: Combing ops conducted in Leilon village, with reports of properties being ransacked. It’s hypocritical that @crpfindia targets a village attacked by NSCN-IM & Kamson faction, while Konsakhul—a hub of militants remains untouched. Such perceived bias will not bring peace.
The KukiCommunity demand strictly to do combine operation in all Tangkhul community dominant area in Ukhrul district and Kamjong district as there are lots of NSCN IM, NSCN Eastern Flank, MyammarMeiteiMilitants, Shanni National Army and Junta Military crossing border and staying in Ukhrul district and Kamjong district, including Sinakeithel village, Sareikhong, Thoyee, Leinganching and other areas.
The KukiCommunity is struggling because of Tangkhul CSO, Tangkhul pastor and NSCN IM protecting the MyammarMeiteiMilitants, Shanni National Army and Junta Military entering the India border and starting attacks on Kuki ancestral villages in Ukhrul district, Kamjong district and even Kangpokpi district.
While many Central Forces attempt to do combine operations in Tangkhul dominant areas and Liangmai areas, many Tangkhul women, Liangmai women and Meitei Merapaibis led by Tangkhul CSO and Tangkhul pastors protest and prevent security forces from entering Tangkhul community and Liangmai areas, allowing NSCN IM, NSCN Eastern Flank, ZUF Kamson Group, MyammarMeiteiMilitants, Shanni National Army and Junta Military to move freely with sophisticated weapons, ammunition, RPGs and drone strike equipment.
We appeal to the high authorities to start immediate action, especially in Senapati District, as blockades are ongoing under the command of United Naga Council and many food supplies, rice, medicines and other essential commodities have been stopped.

🚨A violent mob which had been aggressively mobilized via a @WhatsApp msg which urged, "If we want to kill them while they're still alive, we need strength in numbers" attacked Security Forces at RIMS for 2 straight days & nights using slingshots loaded with marbles & scrap-iron ammunitions.
■The weapons & ammunitions used in attacking the Security forces were supplied by a man name Boaz Phaomei, who brazenly filmed himself distributing the weapons to the Violent mobs & captioning the video "The weapons are here, Ready for War."
🚨There is no excuse for delay, @manipur_police must act immediately to arrest the instigators, trace the source of the weapons & arrest those responsible for endangering the lives of the security forces & patients.

THE CONFUSED MEITEI MINAI:
JUNE 18 (UPRISING DAY)
The Great June Uprising, also referred to as Unity Day by the Meitei community, will be observed in approximately 30 hours. There is considerable public uncertainty regarding its observance this year, given concerns about the conduct of certain Civil Society Organisation (CSO) leaders and their current position vis-à-vis the Tangkhul community. Both communities can't seem to live without thinking about the Kuki-Zo community. They breathe Kuki, eat Kuki, drink Kuki, smell Kuki, dream Kuki, and speak Kuki — nothing else.
June 18 is commemorated annually as June Uprising Day in remembrance of the 18 civilians who lost their lives following the 2001 extension of the ceasefire agreement between the Government of India and the NSCN-IM.
It is my view that all Meitei organizations that identify as advocating for the community’s cause, including COCOMI, FOCS, Haomee Federation, AMUCO, UCM, Meira Paibis, and Arambai Tenggol, along with all their secessionist narco-terrorists groups PLA, UNLF, KCP, PREPAK, and KYKL, should go to the Tangkhul NSCN-IM’s Camp Hebron to meet Thuingaleng Muivah and VS Atem, bow their heads, and declare: "WE ARE YOUR SERVANTS AND ALL OF KANGLEIPAK BELONGS TO YOU." The Meitei community may think they are smart enough to use the cunning Tangkhul fox to demoralize the Kuki-Zo community. In reality, they are the most misguided community. Both communities combined will never succeed in their devilish plan against the Kuki-Zo community.
I would be willing to facilitate all travel expenditures for representatives of these groups for such an engagement from my own pocket, being a good master of both communities. 😀

@NENowNews Manipur: Armed forces ransacked homes in Leillon Vaiphei under the guise of an “operation,” while three boys lay critically injured after the Konsakhul shooting. This is abuse, not security. @HMOIndia@PMOIndia@SpearCorps

PRESS STATEMENT
17 - June- 2026
The United Kuki National Army (UKNA) strongly condemns the reported killing of Lenminsang at Songkong Village under Henglep Sub-Division, Churachandpur, by central security forces.
UKNA categorically clarifies that Lenminsang was never a member of, nor in any way associated with, the United Kuki National Army. Reports from the ground indicate that he was a civilian, making the incident all the more disturbing and deserving of an impartial investigation.
We are further alarmed by reports suggesting that after the killing, security personnel allegedly undressed the deceased and dressed him in attire associated with an underground outfit. If true, such actions are not only unbecoming of professional forces entrusted with the protection of civilians but also strike at the very spirit of justice and accountability enshrined in the Constitution of India.
This incident raises serious concerns regarding the violation of Article 21, which guarantees the right to life and personal liberty, and Article 14 which guarantees equality before the law and equal protection of the laws. Every citizen, irrespective of ethnicity, region, or political background, is entitled to these constitutional protections.
Once again, this tragic incident highlights how Kukis have become soft targets despite our consistent demand for a political solution within the Union of India. While groups advocating secessionist agendas continue to operate in the region, Kuki communities are too often subjected to disproportionate security actions. Such an approach undermines democratic values and weakens faith in constitutional institutions.
UKNA extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and calls for a fair, transparent, and independent inquiry to establish the truth and ensure accountability.
