Two years of structured, vigorous exercise reversed about 20 years of age-related structural changes in the hearts of sedentary 50-year-olds
Under Dr. Ben Levine’s protocol, participants gradually built up to 5–6 hours/week of training, including Norwegian 4x4 intervals, endurance sessions, and strength work
By the end, the size and stiffness of their hearts resembled those of a typical 30-year-old
Vigorous exercise is powerful medicine
A Harvard-trained physician just revealed how to starve cancer to death naturally.
Dr. William Lee just sat down with Steven Bartlett & told him all the secrets about chronic disease that big pharma’s trying to hide.
Here are my top 8 takeaways:
The gut-brain axis is a bidirectional communication network between the gastrointestinal tract and the central nervous system. This dynamic system integrates neural, endocrine, immune, and metabolic signals, many of which are modulated by the gut microbiota.
🧠 1. Neural Pathway
The vagus nerve and enteric nervous system (ENS) transmit afferent signals from the gut to the brain. Microbial metabolites and host-derived neurotransmitters (e.g., serotonin, dopamine, GABA) influence mood, cognition, and stress responses. Enteroendocrine and enterochromaffin cells release neuroactive compounds in response to microbial cues.
🧬 2. Endocrine Pathway
The gut microbiota modulates HPA axis activity through changes in gut barrier integrity, circulating metabolites, and stress hormones. Cortisol, released from the adrenal cortex, affects both systemic inflammation and brain function. Microbiota-regulated hormones such as GLP-1, CCK, and ghrelin further influence appetite, mood, and behavior.
🦠 3. Immune Pathway
Microbial antigens (PAMPs) and metabolites interact with intestinal immune cells (e.g., Th1, Th17, dendritic cells), influencing systemic and neuroinflammatory tone. Elevated cytokines like TNF-α, IL-1, and IL-6 have been linked to blood-brain barrier disruption, depression, and cognitive impairment.
🔁 4. Metabolic Pathway
The gut microbiota ferments dietary components (e.g., fiber, protein, bile acids) into signaling molecules including:
-SCFAs (butyrate, propionate)
-Secondary bile acids
-Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs)
These metabolites affect energy regulation, neurotransmission, and epigenetic signaling within the CNS and peripheral tissues.
Researchers @TheLancet identified 12 lifestyle choices that impact your dementia risk.
Here what to do to reduce your risk: 👇
1. Protect your ears
Mild hearing loss doubles risk of dementia
Only 5 years ago, I couldn’t imagine starting a paper with:
“Scientific discovery has long relied on human creativity. Here we report an AI-guided system that delivers robust scientific discoveries.”
Yet we just did. What a time to be alive!
I consume more extra virgin olive oil than any other food.
Olive oil that’s high in polyphenols (366 ppm) showed favorable effects on cholesterol markers compared to ones with medium levels of polyphenols (164 ppm), according to a randomized crossover clinical trial.
EVOO quality varies dramatically.
Just because it says “extra virgin” gives no information about the actual quality.
You want to see a third party lab report
that shows high polyphenols among other things.
What I consume daily has 144% more polyphenols than avg olive oil (>400 ppm).
Healthy male participants who took 3332 IU’s of vitamin D daily for a year, ended up having 25.2% MORE testosterone on average when compared to placebo.
25.2% more is insane!
Scientists are turning the herpes virus into a cure for multiple cancers.
The herpes simplex virus (HSV-1) infects nearly two-thirds of people worldwide, usually causing nothing more serious than cold sores. But when genetically reprogrammed, it becomes something extraordinary: an oncolytic virus – a therapy that targets, infects, and destroys cancer cells while activating the immune system to finish the job.
The therapy works in two ways. First, the virus replicates inside tumor cells until they burst, killing them directly. Second, the immune system recognizes the viral invasion and begins attacking cancer cells throughout the body, including those not injected with the virus.
Early clinical trials are showing remarkable promise. In studies with modified herpes viruses such as RP1 and RP2, about a quarter of patients with advanced cancers have responded, and in melanoma trials, one-third of patients saw tumors shrink – with nearly one in six experiencing complete disappearance of their cancer.
I became the world's first human gene reprogrammer to save my wife, now my son. 1 Billion+ people live with gene silencing (cancer, degenerative, developmental). I developed a way to switch those genes back on. I changed science and the future of medicine for family. Yours too.
Seriously, protect this man at all costs!
@joerogan Pls have him on ur show; he is Mark Malone- 1st Human Genes Restored + 1st Cancer Stem Cell Eradication. For my wife & son
Evidence is clear: the earlier and deeper the LDL-C drop post-acute coronary syndrome, the fewer cardiovascular events. Time to rethink cholesterol targets with combination therapy. Read more in #EHJ.
