@StoreyLine @jbcarmody Medical school admissions aren’t just about grades. They want a well rounded applicant. What did the letters of rec say? What did he say in his interview? A bad interview or cookie cutter letters can earn a rejection. What did he do from the 1st rejection to improve on 2nd app?

@bruceppdl @DrCasteelEM A private patient room isn’t considered a public space. There is an expectation of privacy. So recording consent laws would come into play.

@Gabby_Brauner27 I was shocked to get any. Especially with EM having a “global release date” but I guess every program moves at their own speed. Don’t panic for at least a few weeks, I know plenty of people in various specialties that say they don’t come out until mid October.

@Gabby_Brauner27 Yeah I’m looking forward to my vacation time, lighter scheduled rotations, but the price tag being the same hurts. Especially when there will be that 2 months where we aren’t students and not getting a paycheck so ill have no money :/

@GamerEMDoc That’s what I meant that sound incredibly frustrating! But as an applicant I also can’t take the risk of only interviewing at my top 5 programs., but I also don’t want to waste anyone’s time.

@sir_osis @Shamelesslysafe I thought the salary was “rich” until I looked at the actual numbers of paying my loans back. I think rich would be having a ton of disposable income even after loans and everything is considered. Financially stable is not the same as rich.

@sir_osis @Shamelesslysafe And we have a crap ton of loans. When I finish I’ll be more than half a million in debt just From School. And the first 3-7 years of “working “our residency which are not highly paid. I will be comfortable but people still see doctors as rich and it’s just not true
