Meet Tom Whitehead, father of the 1st pediatric patient treated with CAR T, founder of the @EWhiteheadFdn, beacon of hope.
Spoiler Alert: Emily, who was treated for ALL in 2012 at 7, is a sophomore at @Penn.

First colonoscopy done so finally this son of a minister can practice what he preaches!
My impressions:
1) there is definitely opportunity cost when it comes to the prep (for me MiraLAX + Dulcolax + simethicone + Gatorade) but there’s no way around needing to clear the lumen
#ICYMI Our very own @dcgenomics is getting to the bottom of the current genome informatics landscape and the use of generative AI in the latest episode of the Mendelspod podcast available here: https://t.co/pZwzHm1c4A

Now that I've left @forbes, I learn that at least one of their "contributors" is a bot with the fake name of Lance Eliot and a fake bio claiming to be a "world-renowned AI scientist" and other impressive-sounding details. Turns out he doesn't exist: https://t.co/iia1GkcQNc
A friend asked me to explain DNA, RNA, and epigenetics. he said that others had tried before, but it didn’t click for him.
I happen to play the piano, so I gave him a simple, albeit imperfect, analogy.
After this analogy, he finally understood! Here’s the piano analogy.

Incredibly excited to share new results from Nabla Bio where we show we can design antibodies de novo for use in therapeutic discovery.
We introduce JAM, an AI system we’ve developed to design de novo antibodies with good affinities, early stage developability, and function. We’re seeing success across a range of soluble and hard-to-drug membrane proteins including a Claudin and a GPCR. We’ve extensively tested these designs in our wet lab and included detailed data and controls, providing the first clear demonstration of how de novo design could expand the scope and efficiency of therapeutic antibody discovery. 🧵

I'm excited to announce we have reimagined the @nucleusgenomics homepage.
It is now easier than ever to view, sort, and organize your genetic analysis results.
I want to thank our customers for their extensive feedback and notes, enabling us to create something to better serve you.
This new platform prepares us for our largest update ever — adding in 600+ analyses.
Our Co-Founder and CEO, Jacob Rubens, recently joined @TheralDTimpson for an episode on the @Mendelspod podcast. Tune in as he highlights how our #SomaticGenomics platform is revolutionizing the #DrugDiscovery and development process. Listen here: https://t.co/FsvHfceonr

Today we report Evo, a generalist foundation model for biology, on the cover of @ScienceMagazine. Trained on billions of DNA nucleotides, Evo was designed to capture two key aspects of biology: the multi-modality of the central dogma and the multi-scale nature of evolution.
Are you trying to figure out what the election results mean for health care companies?
If you follow me, the answer is probably yes. My colleagues @rachelcohrs, @ADeAngelis_bio, and @scifleur will be doing a live LinkedIn chat at 1 pm today. Go, pepper them with questions, and a good time will be had by all.
