@Tony_Denaro Hoping thereβs more than just TD, a sovereign wealth fund maybe? My concern isnβt the eventual value creation, itβs the immediate market reaction. Once the vote passes and investors see 2.5B shares outstanding, will the market promote a knee-jerk dilution narrative?
@ConwayYen Maybe Iβm reading this wrong, but as the probability of a stock financed eBay deal increases, merger-arb positioning could create near term downward pressure on GME. Although the market viewing the deal as highly accretive could maybe outweigh any merger-arb pressure?
@TheGameStopsNow@markusen Apart from the May 1 price movement, it's been relatively quiet, and heavy downward pressure on price the last two weeks. Only two days left in anticipated window (May 1-15) where ten 6-yr echoes were to arrive. Have they all been absorbed to date?
@ConwayYen Curious to see what this filing does for all those $30 strikes in June. Market and media will likely react to the request for shares, but what do you look for under the hood to check the real temperature?
@Tony_Denaro@vikstrom_stefan Still waiting on that 8K to indicate offering completed. Speculation, but they may have temporarily halted drip into the market. Would make sense, to minimize the overhang (potential selling) on the exchanged convertible notes.
@ConwayYen Certainly possibility of a catalyst, but as the market gains confidence in the possibility of a deal, that will increase arbitrage and serve as a strong downward force, will it not?
@TheGameStopsNow@markusen The timing is really quite remarkable. The May 4-8 window looks to be absorbed, but certainly watching through next week. So many moving parts. Amazing research. Thanks for posting.
@TheUltimator5 Based on the 13D (expiry Feb. 2028), these are likely OTC / structured derivatives, privately negotiated, and not on the public options chain.
@userofintellect Looks really awesome but the script is throwing a runtime error for me, indicates memory limits exceeded. All other scripts are turned off.
