Coach 6-9 year olds. Multiple sports. I hear parents say it all the time “he’s never going pro” why do extra lessons or join that competitive team or push them to get better. Let them have fun. That’s not the point for me. I grew up without a dad doubting myself every turn until my 40’s. Delusional optimism or nothing. It breeds resilience and perseverance. That’s what I want for my kids.
