@TheBTCGame @JuanSGalt @callebtc I have a gambling background so I think in probabilities. My hypothesis is if you have a key made of 15 dice rolls, about 15 bits, you're better off rolling 100 imperfect dice.

Would it be better to use perfect dice? Yes, but don't wait on the mail.

@Yashraj__ @shaunsomers I started writing an article about generating a seed with sufficient entropy a couple weeks ago. I wrote two drafts, but then this happened. I'm trying to see where people are at.

We should not scare people away from dice by making more esoteric arguments. 100 dice rolls made with imperfect, but fair dice should provide sufficient entropy for digital signatures.

We could also hash it and get 256 bits of entropy for more protection.

I spoke to someone who gave a cold card to someone, and when the news broke that friend was out of town.

They called the friend, and got permission to break into his own house as he read out the pin and got the funds recovered.

This was the correct level of urgency.

It even displays BIP141.

I've used it to verify dice rolls on an air gapped computer. :)

@AndrewMesmer @BTCsessions @CauliStack @SeedSigner Sorry if not clear, but for me "BIP39 lottery" refers to randomly selecting from the available 2048 words in the BIP39 seed phrase specification to create a new seed. You will need to use a computing device to obtain the final word, which acts as a checksum for the seed phrase.
