🚨 @XTexchange : Urgent Call for Accountability and Transparency 🚨
We demand the immediate purchase of missing tokens, the restoration of withdrawals, and the cessation of false claims by @XTexchange .
On November 28, 2024, #XTExchange experienced a security breach resulting in the theft of approximately 494 ETH (~$2M).
Contrary to recent announcements claiming the full resumption of withdrawal services, the affected tokens remain inaccessible, and users face censorship when seeking clarification.
It appears that XT is attempting to pass the losses from the hack onto users holding the affected tokens by spreading misleading information to both users and the press. We will not allow this to continue. It is clear that #XT has not yet compensated its users, who can neither withdraw the affected tokens nor trade them on the market due to a lack of liquidity.
We demand that #XT:
>> Immediately reacquire the stolen tokens
>> Reopen withdrawals without further delay
>> Provide transparent and truthful information instead of trying to cover up the incident
🔍 Summary of the Incident:
>> Date of Attack: November 28, 2024
>> Amount Stolen: 494 ETH ($2M)
Technical Details:
>> The EVM address of #XT has been compromised
>> Eight ERC20 tokens on the Ethereum network were transferred to an attacker's address and can be easily viewed here: https://t.co/8YipNQbSU1
>> The funds were subsequently exchanged into ETH (~465 ETH) and sent to: https://t.co/rwE8w3Pnnk
Stolen Tokens:
>> 7,849,266 $wQUIL @QuilibriumInc (> $1M)
>> 1,775,405 $DOGE @doge_eth_gov (> $0.5M)
>> 1,116,459,224 $WOLF @Wolf0x67 (~$170k)
>> 92,804 $TRUMP @MAGAMemecoin (~$150k)
>> 515,352,289 $FLOKI @RealFlokiInu (~$120k)
>> 164,267 $ZND @ZND_co (> $100k)
>> 776,968 $ASTRA @astraprotocol (> $2k)
>> 91,974 $USDT @tether
The first to report the hack was @PeckShieldAlert a few hours after it happened: https://t.co/AlnvLydozp
50 minutes after #PeckShieldAlert's report, @XTexchange posted a tweet and an announcement about an 'abnormal transfer': https://t.co/xKJL0ldAex assuring: 'Rest assured, this will not affect our users. [...] We always maintain reserves 1.5x greater than user assets to ensure maximum security.'
In addition, XT announced the closure of all withdrawals: https://t.co/TouciCl6Oo and issued further reassurances:
"Rest assured. Users' assets are always safe! We are solving the problem and all will be back to normal soon.": https://t.co/7mBGYqYTTj
"Rest assured, users' assets remain safe and unaffected.": https://t.co/WRATyQLM0R
On the same day, XT states that 'Withdrawal services will gradually resume starting 00:00 (UTC) on Nov 29, 2024, with full restoration within 24 hours.'
https://t.co/GC701g2QmZ
On 2 December, XT officially announced that 'XT has now fully resumed withdrawal services for all tokens.'
https://t.co/9FN3VUrU5s
❌ The Truth Behind XT's Statements:
1️⃣ Withdrawals NOT Resumed:
>> The tokens involved in the hack are not withdrawable
>> The claim of 'technical maintenance' is hardly credible, as other Ethereum wallets are functioning normally
>> Evidence indicates that XT no longer owns these tokens and has not yet used its reserves to repurchase them
2️⃣ Missing Assets:
>> Checking the address of XT's user deposits (the one from which the funds were hacked):
https://t.co/ssntCsRSmT
>> The hacked tokens have not yet been re-entered
3️⃣ No Liquidity for Exchanges:
>> Comparison between the chart of $DOGE on XT (white) and Uniswap (black)
>> The last trade on XT is priced 25% below the market value on Uniswap
>> A sale of only $1,000 on the market would decrease the price by 50%, and $3,000 would decrease it by 75% compared to the Uniswap price
>> On some days, the average price on XT was 1/3 of the actual value
>> These quotations and the lack of liquidity reflect owners' fears about the reliability of XT
4️⃣ User Censorship:
>> We report only one conversation in which two users are mutated only because they ask about the opening of withdrawals of a token (among those involved in the hack) because it was exhaustive, and we received dozens of witnesses of banned users and deleted messages
>> On the left, two screens show a conversation in XT's Telegram chat. The first screen was sent to us by 'Emanuele' himself, and as you can see, was mutated (shortly after the admin's reply)
>> On the right, a screenshot shows a person talking to "Igor," who joked that if he entered the group to ask about withdrawals, he would be banned immediately. As soon as he asked, he was banned within less than five minutes, as evidenced by the timestamps
Translation of the Conversation:
>> Igor: "What did I tell you?"
>> Person: "Have you already been banned?"
>> Igor: (Displays restrictions screen)
⚠️ Further Details on the Hack:
Additional Tokens Involved:
>> The attacker's transactions did not only involve eight tokens mentioned earlier. Tey also involved 4 other tokens, none of which are listed on any centralized exchanges, all reported by DexScreener as honeypots. The exact role these tokens played in the hack remains unclear
>> The attacker bridged 1 ETH on Optimism and executed a "Proof Withdrawal Transaction," authorizing the transfer of more funds via a bridge from Optimism to Ethereum. This action requires a challenge period of seven days
>> Yesterday, on December 5, the attacker executed a "Finalize Withdrawal Transaction" that allowed them to collect approximately 29 ETH
https://t.co/iM0x9r5T7M
We have analyzed the attacker's transactions and can confirm that today's event represents the completion of the November 28 hack. This means the attacker can no longer extract any more funds from XT's address.
The 29 ETH obtained by the hacker were acquired by swapping the following assets:
https://t.co/FM9murAWdL
Swapped Assets are: $OP, $WETH, $wstETH, $USCD, $VELO, $alUSD, $alETH, $FRAX, $frxETH, $USDC, $GIV, $DAI, $USDT, $USD+, $CRV, $LINK, $WBTC
The total amount gained by the hacker amounts to approximately 494 ETH (~ $2M)
📢 Appeal to the Community and XT:
Demand for Accountability:
We will not accept silence and false announcements from XTExchange. Users of $wQUIL and other affected communities deserve transparency and justice.
Our Demands:
>> Repurchase the stolen tokens
>> Restore withdrawals immediately
>> Allow unrestricted communication channels and provide truthful information regarding the incident and ongoing recovery efforts
Together we can make a difference. Let's not let #XT harm our or other communities.

$QUIL - My official Investometer 🏵️
Quilibrium is building the new internet: private, unscensorable and decentralised.
With the huge miner sell-off and price dump it has gotten quite a lot of attention recently.
But is @QuilibriumOne a good investment or not?
Lets find out 👇
Technology: 🔗
Verifiable Delay Functions:
Think of a VDF as a special puzzle that takes a specific amount of time to solve, like a Rubik's cube that requires exactly 5 minutes to complete. No matter how many people try to solve it simultaneously, it still takes 5 minutes. This is useful for proving that a certain amount of time has passed.
Use: Timestamping and creating proofs of block storage.
Oblivious Transfer:
Think of a magic card trick where you pick a card without the magician seeing it, and somehow they still know what card you picked without revealing the other cards. OT allows one party to transfer one of potentially many pieces of information to another party, but remain oblivious as to which piece was transferred.
Use: Privacy-preserving computation and querying of the oblivious hypergraph.
Oblivious Hypergraph:
Imagine a complex web of interconnected ideas, but each person can only see the parts relevant to them. It's like a giant, multidimensional connect-the-dots puzzle where each person has their own unique view. This allows for complex data relationships while maintaining privacy.
Use: Central data structure for storing and querying data while maintaining privacy.
End-to-End Encryption:
Imagine sending a letter in a locked box. Only you and the recipient have the key. Even the postal service can't read the contents. That's E2EE - your message is secure from the moment you send it until it's received and decrypted by the intended recipient.
Use: Ensuring secure communication between network participants.
Triple-Ratchet:
Picture a group of friends with a special set of walkie-talkies. Every time they communicate, the devices automatically change their encryption codes. Even if someone intercepts one message, they can't decode future or past messages. That's how Triple-Ratchet keeps group communications secure.
Use: Secure group communication with perfect forward secrecy.
Shuffled Lattice Routing Protocol:
Think of a postal system where each letter goes through a series of random post offices before reaching its destination. At each stop, it's mixed with other letters. This makes it nearly impossible to trace the letter's origin, ensuring anonymous communication.
Use: Providing anonymous routing of messages within the network.
Random Permutation Mixnet:
Picture a giant bingo tumbler that thoroughly mixes messages before sending them out. This ensures that no one can trace which message came from where, providing anonymity for senders and receivers.
Use: Enhancing anonymity in message routing.
BlossomSub:
Imagine a game of telephone, but more efficient. Instead of whispering to just one person, each player tells a few others, quickly spreading the message through the network. BlossomSub does this for data, but with added security and efficiency features.
Use: Efficient and secure message propagation across the network.

The Investomer Explained: 👨🏫
You might ask, where do these numbers come from did I just pull them out of my ass?
The answer is: Yes, somewhat. But there is a system behind it.
First of all, I chose these 6 categories because I believe those are the most important parts of a project.
Now the individual scores of each of these categories is where the 'pulling it out of my ass' happens because there is no objective way to quantify these.
I simply look at the facts and give a score out of 100. Now that every category has a score we can calculate the overall Investometer score.
This is where the system part comes to play. While all of the categories are important, some are more than others.
Thats why I dont just calculate the average out of the 6 scores but weigh every category differently.
The weighting is as follows:
🔹Technology: 33% (+1%)
🔹Tokenomics: 21% (+1%)
🔹Community: 16% (+1%)
🔹Narrative: 15% (+1%)
🔹Team: 10% (+1%)
🔹Partnerships: 5% (-5% because not evaluated)
This way, while still being unavoidably subjective at the end, there is a system in place which will make each project evaluated somewhat comparable.
And lastly, this is obviously not financial advice, just my quantified opinion.

Defensive uses of guns by crime victims, at least in the American social context, are far more common than offensive uses by criminal offenders.
Even when CDC, an organization perceived to be strongly "anti-gun," devised and conducted the surveys, their results implied huge estimates of DGU - over a million per year, noticeably more than the number of violent crimes in which aggressors used firearms.
A very important note to what I wrote above: the typical DGU does not involve a shot being fired, never mind hitting an offender. That's why any study that counts criminal deaths as the only measure of the protective benefits of guns will underestimate the benefits of firearms by a factor of 500 to 1,000.

Have you seen the Rand review on RTC laws?
They first table older studies (1997-2004) that overwhelmingly found reductions in crime. Then they create a separate table for newer studies (2004-2020), with neutral after neutral after neutral effect. And somehow, they came to the conclusion that there is "supportive" evidence that carrying guns in public causes crime 🤡
You can't make this shit up.
Let me be clear: there is literally no justification for the claim that there is "supportive" evidence that RTC laws increase firearm homicides or homicides in general.
Once again, it is confirmed that the introduction, discussion, and similar sections are where researchers frame and interpret their empirical findings, often putting an ideological spin on them.
The point is that when reading papers or reports on guns, violence, or other polarizing topics, it's best to ignore portions of the text such as the introduction and discussion, and instead immediately focus on the methods and results, where you'll find the raw perspective that matters.
