I support taking down Pushkin and many other russian empire symbolism, but I still cannot fathom why Babel should be taken down. Like that's the only one that really saddens me.
what a hero!
far-right wannabe dictators really hate parliaments …and if election rigging doesn’t work, they just send tanks to block lawmakers. also, why did Korea’s Yoon include parliament activity in his martial law? Ukraine’s parliament is working despite years of full war
Leader of the South Korean Democratic Party livestreams himself climbing over the blockade wall to enter the parliament via YouTube. https://t.co/RHwXLXUnQ2
think I cracked why all the mainstream ru opposition peeps hate the anti-/decolonial movement so much …historical precedents make them scared 🙈
…also keep telling yourself that anti-/decolonial politics are a recent import from the West
personally not too concerned with graffiti …but… awesome to see the Piccadilly-Line part of the deep tube upgrade approaching completion
still no funding deal with @GOVUK for rolling stock upgrades on other lines, let alone platform screen doors & air conditioning on platforms

Not sure if this has been picked up yet, but it appears that the new Piccadilly Line Rolling-stock was Graffitied on its way into London over the weekend when being delivered to a @TfL depot. @BTP were approached for comment.
We asked 7 people in film who actually saw "Russians at War" if they thought the documentary was a propaganda piece. Give it a read.

Greta Thunberg has made numerous statements supporting Ukraine, calling out Russian ecocide in Ukraine and even came to Ukraine during the full scale invasion
"Unlike in Ukraine, where foreign reporters can travel to the frontlines, Russia has largely prohibited such access to independent journalists, only occasionally permitting select ones to join tightly controlled press tours."
"A Russian school in west London has been teaching its pupils how to assemble guns and throw grenades as part of a strict anti-western curriculum." https://t.co/pDWD8hTD0X
On top of all the stupidity, why would you believe a Russian filmmaker (who previously worked making films for Russia Today, an arm of the government) that the Russian government had no knowledge of her imbedding with Russian soldiers for 7 months? This is absurd
The plight of North Asians under the Russian colonial rule is close to me personally. My paternal grandfather was Kalmak and the men from his village were confused with Kalmyks under Stalin, faced prosecution (long story). Two of my grandmothers were Tatars. 1/2
