Today, I chaired the first Cabinet meeting of the new administration following the successful Cabinet Induction Retreat at Kyankwanzi. I urged the ministers to remain focused on disciplined implementation, accountability and efficient service delivery as we work to fulfil the NRM’s commitment of securing Uganda’s socio-economic transformation over the next five years.

Today @MinofHealthUG and @MinSanteRDC met in Aru health zone, #DRC 🇨🇩 to launch a cross-border collaboration to strengthen surveillance for border areas, and establish joint laboratories and clinical services in several locations across DRC, starting with Aru.
The plan includes shared surveillance and information at points of entry, and joint deployment of rapid response mobile laboratories, Ebola treatment centres and expert teams to work together to stop the outbreak.
