“Putting the child up for adoption after birth isn't a solution.”
The vast majority of abortions are done because of purely elective reasons. Most of the time, adoption isn’t necessary. In cases where parents genuinely can’t care for their own child, yes, adoption IS a solution.
“Not the mention the foster care system is so often horribly abusive?”
“Unwanted” newborns don’t go into foster care. There are over 2 million couples waiting to adopt newborns right now. That’s an entirely different system than foster care.
Jeremiah is exactly correct, the Ark of the covenant isn't sitting in a monastery somewhere being guarded by monks. The Jewish Talmud says it was never returned after the Babylonian exile in late 6th century BC; Maimonides says that it could be buried in tunnels Solomon made under the temple mount; 2nd Macc. 2 says Jeremiah hid it at Mt. Nebo; Samaritan tradition says it was buried in Mt. Garizim.
And let's be honest, even if it was in an Orthodox Tewahedo church in Ethiopia (which I'm pretty confident it isn't), it wouldn't matter. The Ark was meant to point to and is fully fulfilled in Jesus. If it still physically exists it holds no power or authority than any other ancient box.
Mark Driscoll is so salty from us flicking his ears from afar that he’s now talking about us from his pulpit. 😬😬😬
Not only are we living in his head rent-free, but we've started subletting in his cerebellum and are considering giving a nice homeless couple squatter's rights to his cerebral cortex.
To wit:
1. Mark says, "What they didn't say it was a woman preaching to other women at a women's conference about not being feminists."
Actually, we did. In fact, we even screenshotted Mark saying that very thing and included it in the article, which you can see below. Ironically, what irked some people was that they had to read the article to find out it was a woman pastor preaching to other women at a women's event, when they felt that should have been in the headlines.
But what’s more interesting is that nowhere in his clip does he tell his flock that she’s a WOMAN PASTOR/PASTRIX/ IMPASTOR preaching. That's not information he seems real eager to cough up, no matter how benignly he seeks to frame it.
If he thinks his church would be all be cool with it, why not just go for it and say "What [Protestia] didn't say, it was a woman pastor preaching to other women at a women's conference about not being feminists."
That still wouldn’t be correct, but at least it’d be smiiiiidge closer to the truth, and would address the crux of our objection.
Our issue *isn't* with a woman teaching women, or even necessarily with women teaching men. We have no problem with that super non-controversial arrangement. Sound good, wrap it up, go with God, Yea and Amen.
Our objection is that she's a WOMAN PASTOR, something he previously decried as "unfit', and whose occupation he's been reticent to say out loud
If he wants to go on record as saying he believes women are fit to be pastors, just not senior pastors, or however he wants to justify it to himself, and he's good with them going on theological frolics with his flock, then he might as well gird up his loins and get it out there: pull off that bandaid for the edification of your soul.
Us? We’ll just stay perched up here with the gray matter with one small request: if we’re going to live in your head rent-free, Mark, at least open up a window.
What is Christian deconstructionism?
Pastor David Harrell offers a clear and concise explanation of the popular movement that is essentially a misnomer.
"He who is not with Me is against Me." Matthew 12:30

A biblical response to the Superbowl halftime show from Pastor David Harrell.
This is about depravity, and as Christ followers, we should want nothing to do with that.

Tennessee is facing a winter disaster unfolding in real time.
Residents describe the scene as a "warzone", with loud explosions echoing through neighborhoods as ice-laden trees and power lines continue to snap and fall.
More than 200,000 people across Tennessee remain without power, many of them stuck in dangerously cold homes with no heat as temperatures drop. Emergency crews are overwhelmed, travel is nearly impossible in some areas, and restoration efforts could take days.

@farmingandJesus So true, dear sister! The Lord has comforted me greatly and taught me much through His “no” and my empty hands. It’s an even greater joy to understand our God is sovereign and nothing has happened by chance!
70 years ago today these men departed the land of the dying for the land of the living. They gave what they could not keep to gain what they could not lose.
One way you can tell someone has been sitting under false teaching is that, when you tell her she's following a false teacher, she doesn't appeal to Scripture to prove you wrong, she appeals to her opinions, feelings, preferences, experiences, and *mangled* (if any) Scripture.
My good friend Ray Comfort from Living Waters is headed to California State University with Turning Point USA tomorrow to answer students’ questions and share the gospel and the truth of Scripture on campus tomorrow.
Please be praying for his and his team’s safety, for effective ministry, and that many young people will be challenged and respond to the salvation message.
You can watch the live stream on their YouTube channel from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. PT tomorrow: https://t.co/lKvtPpiTRI
The entire gospel in two minutes from Voddie Baucham.
“Until one day, when it’s all said and done, we’re not just saved from the penalty of sin. We’re not just saved from the power of sin. But one day, we’re glorified and saved from the very presence of sin.
That’s the gospel that we preach! That’s the gospel that we need! And that’s the gospel that’s more than enough!”
Today was that day for Voddie. When he preached this, he saw by faith. Now, Voddie sees by sight—glorified with Christ forever and eternally free from the penalty, power, and presence of sin.
If you see a comment that fills you with anger respond with this video…. This is the only response that truly matters. Save the video and use it, let’s expand his legacy and the gospel he preached 🩷🩷
Let’s share this far and wide because the gospel saves. If we want change we need to make disciples. #CharlieKirk
In light of the multiple horrors we have witnessed in the last couple of weeks, may this encourage and edify you. This has quickly become one of my favorite songs.
